Silent Christmas

I woke up and changed into a crop top that said 'DO IT FOR THE VINE' and a pair of short shorts with white converse and no show socks. I let my hair down again with its natural crimped waves. I grabbed a bag that had small gifts for the SPR team and put my phone in my back pocket. I mean, it was Christmas and I love the holidays. I started my walk to SPR. As I walked, I noticed a bunch of boys checking me out. I rolled my eyes and walked into the building and to the meeting room of SPR. Mai had set up a small Christmas tree in the corner of the room and Naru was trying to tell her to take it down. I thought it looked beautiful. I pushed past Naru and Lyn and took out the gifts. I put them under the tree and stood up and faced Naru. He stood with his cold expression and I stood my ground. "Fine" he sighed and I smiled and tackled him in a hug. He gasped but hugged me back. I let go of him and hugged Mai. She laughed and started to complement my outfit and I complemented her hair and this went on until Masako, John, Ayiko, and Monk walked in. "Nice tree! Hey who are those presents for?" Said Monk and I passed out the small gifts. Ayiko opened hers first and gasped when she saw the small red ruby dangle earrings I got from the mall when I went with James, Gavin, and Dylan a few days ago. She smiled and hugged me and quickly put them on. They looked pretty with her red lipstick. She sat down and admired her earrings. Mai went next and squealed when she saw a little picture of me and her on the first day of school. She had taken the picture when we first became friends. She jumped at the chance and snapped the photo. She smiled and hugged me. "Thank you! I love it!" She sat down and watched as Monk opened his. I got him an old story book from America that had all sorts of stories including....Monks! he smiled and picked me up and spun me around. He thanked me and started to read the first few pages. John went next and he gasped as he saw the moveable gold cross with angel wings on the back. He smiled and hugged me. I smiled back as he admired the hand-crafted features. I looked at Masako who was next and she completely turned all girl girl when she saw a snow globe that had a snowflake in the middle and small sparles floated when you shook it. She calmed down and cleared her throat "thank you" she said and smiled as she watched the sparkles swirl around in the small glass dome. Lyn was next and he smiled as he saw a traditional Chinese gift that was a small key chain like thing with a colorful mask connected to red strings of fabric. He smiled and gave me a side hug. Lastly was Naru. I got nervous as I prayed he liked it. I looked down and blushed as he unwrapped the small gift. It was a small cross with a pentagram just like mine except his was gold. He held it in his hand. I stayed looking at the ground. He walked up to me and lifted my head. Before I could stop him, he pressed his lips onto mine. My eyes widened and I stumbled back slightly. He pulled away and I blushed brightly and covered my mouth with my hands. He smirked and walked back to his spot next to Lyn. Mai squealed and Masako sweat dropped. "Alright Emmy!" Shouted Monk as he pumped his fist in the air. I blushed and looked at him. He laughed along with Mai and Ayiko and John was explaining a case to Naru. I laughed with them but my cheeks still burned. "Alright let's get going" said John as everyone packed up the van. Naru slung his arm around my waist and walked with me to the van. I was about to get in the van but he pulled me back. He waved at Lyn and Mai as they drove off. He showed me to his car. I sat in the front seat and he slid in the drivers seat. He drove off and we sat in silence. I clicked a button on the stereo and the radio turned on. I recognized the song immeadeatly and hummed along to it.

Naru looked at me and turned off the radio. I shot him a look and he gave a serious face. "When you said I couldn't tell anyone, what did you mean?" He asked and continued driving. I signed.
'I honestly don't give a damn if you tell SPR. But if you say anything to anyone else...well you know' he nodded in understanding and I turned the radio back on. He looked at me and smiled. I blushed and looked out the window, enjoying the comfortable silence between me and my boyfriend. Yes, MY boyfriend.
