Evil Spirits All Over?!

I sat next to Lyn as he monitored the cameras. Lyn looked at me and I looked up to look at him. He scoffed and turned back toward the cameras. I growled softly and smacked him hard on the back of the head. He shot me a glare and I smiled sweetly. "Do you have to be such a bitch?" he said, causing everyone to look at us with shocked expressions. Naru looked as if he would kill Lyn but I stood up and looked down at him.

"You know I didn't plan on becoming a cold, heartless bitch.

But oh well! Here I am!"

I said back and he looked up shocked. I looked at the others and they stared shocked as well. "Well it's true" I said and crossed my arms and sat back down and put the big headphones over my ears and went back to watching the cameras. I felt someone tap my shoulder and looked up to see Naru. He gave me a look as if to say 'come here' and I followed him out of the room. He helped me stand balanced and he looked at me intently. "I really wish you would not use such horrible language" he said and I smirked.

"Why? does it bother you?"

"No it's just very un lady like"

"I can be a lady when I need to. The rest of the time I'm fun"

He sighed and looked at me with a small smile. "I'm not going to win this am I?"

"No you are not"

He chuckled and leaned down and gave me a kiss. He helped me back into the room and I say back down as the others continued with their work. I sighed and looked at Lyn. He sighed and looked at me. "I'm sorry for my little outburst" I apologized and he took off the big headphones. "Look, Emelia I need to tell you something" he said as he gave me a cold stare. "What?"

"Your parents aren't dead"

"Th-They aren't"

I was shocked and happy but I couldn't tell if he was telling the truth. Wait, is he lying? That son of a bitch! Why is he doing this to me!

"No they're not. They got away"

"STOP IT!"

I shouted causing all eyes on us again. I stood up and ignored the pain in my ankle and ran out of the room. "Emmy!" shouted Mai as she ran after me but I kept running until I was at a park. I sat on a bench and rubbed my sore ankle. Mai came up and sat next to me. "What was that about?" she asked as she turned to look at me. "It's nothing"

"Come on. You can trust me"

"Lyn told me my parents are alive"

"That's great!"

"I don't know if he's lying"

I put my face in my hands and sobbed silently. She wrapped me in a hug and I heard footsteps coming this way. "Someone's coming" I said as I looked around. Mai clung onto my arm as I narrowed my eyes. "So your dating Kazuya" said a familiar voice. Mai let out a relieved sigh and I stared at the affection seeking teenager. "Ya. So what Karoda"

"I just don't understand"

"Understand what?"

"Why he would choose you"

Ouch. That hurt. I glared at her and she smirked. "I mean I thought he would be into someone who shared the same paranormal interest that he has. And not to mention, I thought he would at least like someone who wasn't such a sleazy person" I got angry but then just got sad. I stared at my lap and Mai stood up for me. "How dare you?! Just because your jealous doesn't mean you have to beat down on other people!" She smirked and turned and left. "Just leave me alone Mai" I said as I stood up and started to walk away. "But Emmy your foot"

"I'll be fine. I'll be at the movies if you need me"

I said softly. My chest felt so heavy and my mind was clouded with those awful words. She's right. I'm just a freak. I'm not even a human! Maybe I should just accept my responsibility and become a soul-eating Demon. I sighed as I looked at the three boys that stood infront of the movie theater waiting for me. We went into the theater but I couldn't focus on the movie. It finally ended and I sat in my small room. I looked out the window and sighed. Naru deserves someone better. I remembered what he had said to me.

"Your also an Angel"

I shook my head and found a small razor in my drawer. I grabbed it and thought about it.

"Wait! What am I doing?!" I said aloud but Karoda's words flashed threw my mind. I slashed my wrist a few times and looked at the blood. I washed it off in the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I didn't like what I saw. My eyes were red and puffy and I looked so ugly. I quickly turned away from it and sat on my bed. "I'm sorry Naru. I'm no Angel. Just a Demon"

I whispered and for the first time in many years,

I cried myself to sleep.
