Koga x reader- a pained existence without you

Breathless Koga dragged your limp body across the grassy field. Blood had dried around your temple, your hair was matted and a few thick strands covered your face. A dark, red patch of blood had seeped through the bandages applied to your abdomen.

It showed through your kimono, Koga had to sit his rump down and rest.
"(Y/n) please wake up..."

(Earlier)

A demon had appeared quickly attacking by moving it's tail. Knocking  into Koga, the strength of the attack taking the air from his lungs.

He collided into you, your head hitting a rock. The contact of stone made you instantly bleed.

Koga raised himself, "are you alright?"

Cracking your eyes open you replied, "y-yeah."

"I'm gonna defeat this ugly monster so stay put."

He raced off towards the demon with incredible speed. The demon snarled as Koga raised his claw and shredded it's powerful tail off.

It roared in pain.

Kogas right side was unguarded so the demon shot a white beam from its mouth. The blast hit his stomach.

"Ack!"

Blood sprayed from his mouth, he landed next to you.

"Koga.."

Your head pounded and your vision was blurred. "I'm...alright."

Clearly he wasn't.

The demon was approaching Koga struggled to get back up. The demon prepared another blast.

It shot quickly, without thinking you stumbled in front taking full force of the attack.

"(Y/n)!"

Pain racked your spine, stomach and pretty much everywhere else.

You could fell warmth spreading around your waist.

Your legs gave out under you, but before you even felt the earth. You blacked out.

Vaguely hearing Koga's distressed shouts.

(Present)

Those bandages passing villagers had applied had not done well to stop the bleeding.

So he put pressure on the wound, swallowing as it felt sticky and warm.

Fear took ahold of him whenever you were hurt. He bit his lip fighting back tears that threatened to fall.

"Hey!" A firmilair voice belonging to the mutt he hated shouted.

But his shoulders sagged with relief as the group came running. Kagome had brung her bag along, a soft whine escaped him. None of which heard it.

"How is she?" The school girl asked.

"Bleeding badly."

Kagome got to work spilling out the contents of her bag. She undid the bow holding your kimono, urging the boys to look away. Koga growled at Miroku when he took longer than a second to avert his eyes.

Kagome peeled away the used white cloth and wrapped around a new one. She needed to do it quickly or the bleeding would increase.

In a few simple steps you were patched up.

Kagome smiled, "ok she's got a fresh one on."

Koga thanked her.

(Time skip to when you wake up in the grassy field)

You opened your eyes, seeing the dark blue night above. Stars scattered across it's glorious night.

"Are you awake?" His soft voice reached your ears.

Your head was on his lap his hands bracing the sides of your head. "Yes" at the sound of yoir voice. He placed his forehead on yours.

Giving you a better view of his face even if it was upside down. "How do you feel?"

"Not the best."

He sighed, "your alive that's the best for me."

You chuckled a little, he raised a brow,  "what's so funny?"

A small smile, "I find it nice that me being here with you. Means a lot."

He gave a sad smile back, "of course it does you give meaning to my life. Whether it be small or big."

You reached a hand to his cheek, he leaned into your palm. " I'm your entire world." Confidence was laced in your voice.

He laughed, "you think?"

A small smirk stretched across your lips, "I know so."

You raised yourself even if it did hurt, your lips met his.

He returned the kiss, it was sweet, passionate. God's oh God's was he amazing at it.

He broke the connection, "okay lay down you'll need to rest lots more."

He gently picked you up bridal style, and ran fast but still smoothly enough. No pain was received.

He arrived at the cave with you in his arms, both smiling gleefully. "Aw look at the happy couple." The tone was grating against the ears.

Not one ounce of sincerity in it.

You felt Kogas nails dig into your skin,  "who's there?"

Obviously it was someone who was not welcome in his home. The smell of rot filed both your noses. It's coils slithered around the cave.

It sounded as if it was up on the top then the side or the ground. "Where are you demon?"

Koga's snarl was flat and merciless, he was ready to go all out to protect you. Especially since you were injured.

"Ohh such anger, I'm everywhere puny wolf! You killed my brother! So I returned the favour for a few of your members." It's tone held sickening glee.

Koga didn't want to risk putting you down.

The snake-like demon swung a coil around your waist. "Koga!" But before he could get a grip on you the snake demon had already got you.

It was only then you realised the puddles of crimson pooling around the things body. A shiver ran down your spine.

"Give my lady back!" Koga bared his fangs.

"Such a feral wolf." The snake tightened it's hold on you.

Stinging pain burned your gut.

You clenched your teeth.

"Let's have some fun."

In one quick motion the snake slithered past Koga and out into the night.

"(Y/n)!!"

He'd never run so fast in his life.
