Sango followed Kirara towards a small part of the forest. Kirara jumped but Sango had to slow down because the ground went downhill. She slowly slid along the slope. Continuing to chase after Kirara to where she was leading her.
Then the twin-tailed cat came to an abrupt stop. Sango walked the rest of the distance, putting a hand to her mouth as she gasped.
There you were body deathly pale, Sango kneeled, placing 2 fingers on your neck to check for a pulse.
Thump, thump.
Sango breathed a sigh of relief, "(Y/n) your so cold, Kirara!"
The small cat turned to her larger form, Sango gently heaved your body onto her furry back. Sango slid on too, gripping you so you didn't fall off.
Kirara flew to the small village where Kaede was stationed. The big cat landed in front of the door to her hut. Immediately Sango hopped off her friend and piggy backed you inside.
Kaede peeked outside to see why Kirara was growling profoundly. The elderly woman gasped eyes widening.
She watched you carefully as Sango put you on a prepared futon. "Do ye know what happened?"
"No, Kirara lead me to (Y/n) and we found her like this."
Kaede put her palm on your head and her own, "hmmm she doesn't seem to have a fever."
Just then they heard footsteps, Kohaku burst through the door. "Is (Y/n) ok?!"
He was breathing heavily sweat pouring all over his skin. Sango looked at her brother, "I'm hoping she will be..."
Kohaku took a place beside Sango, Kirara perched on his shoulder. Gently nudging him, he strached her ear, "hey..."
Kohaku held a very worried tone of voice, "can't you work it out quickly??"
Kaede stared at him, "I've never seen anything like this, pale as a ghost, cold as snow."
Kohaku gripped his hands tightly, "damn!"
Sango pursed her lips, thinking deeply then it hit her, "Miroku can help!" She smiled brightly.
Kohaku raised a brow in question, Kaede nodded happily. "Ye is quite correct." Obviously they had remembered something.
Sango ran out of the hut to fetch the Monk.

Sango returned with Miroku, he got to work quickly, pulling out a talisman. Mumbling a few incoherent words as the piece of paper glowed along with your body.
Kohaku prayed whatever he was doing worked. Miroku stopped talking and the light faded from both the talisman and you.
All waited patiently, Kohaku bit his trembling lip, "it didn't work!" Suddenly you woke up coughing and spluttering water. "(Y/n)!" Everyone called in usion. Kohaku clutched you in his arms as you began to cough less.
"What...happened to me?"
Miroku answered your question, "a water demon must have filled your lungs with water."
You sighed, "I wish I could protect myself."
Kohaku held you tighter, "don't worry I'll make it my job to protect you!" Sango blinked surprised, Miroku smirked.
You blushed a bright pink, "you can't be around me all the time."
He smiled, "then I'll make sure your around me all the time."
Kaede chuckled, "we should give ye some space." Kirara went to Sango's shoulder as she dragged Miroku who wanted to listen in on their conversation.
You cleared your throat and unglued Kohaku from yourself, "so my guess is you like me?"
Kohaku laughed nervously, "yeah...I do."
You glanced at him, "I heard you, you know."
He stared at you for a minute, "you heard me?"
You smiled, "calling my name, worrying about me."
"Oh."
His expression went to one more serious, "well that's how devoted I am to you." He locked you fingers together drawing you closer.
"I promise to love you everyday if you'll accept to be mine?"
Your heart pounded erratically, your whole face covered with a pink shade. "Accept you? Geez Kohaku no need to be so formal."
He didn't wait for a more reassuring answer from you, he held your chin and attached his mouth to yours.
The kiss was so soft and light, a strange warmth spread through your blood.
He broke the kiss.
"(Y/n) are you in love with me?"
You giggled, "how can I not be?"
