"Let the game resume!"
Both teams were separated on either side of the court. Prepared to continue the game and now Kise was part of it.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." He smirked.
"You're finally in." Kagami stated.
Hyuga smirked, "You are way too intense for a model when you're on the court."
"He's not just putting on a show." I spoke.
"Kise-kun! Over here! He's so hot!" High pitched squeals entered the court from all angles.
"What is that?" Hyuga asked, cowering slightly from the horde of girls.
Kise looked back and waved at them, "Thanks for coming!"
The screams were too loud for me to hear much else, and it was rather irritating. I looked back to the wall at the hooded figure. He was shaking his head, then he looked at me. Directly at me. His eyes. Those piercing eyes. That defiant color that I could never forgive, never forget. It couldn't be him...
"Quit waving to them! I'll hit you!" Kasamatsu yelled and drop kicked Kise.
I cringed slightly and sighed. I really just want to play.
"Ow... You already hit me, Kasamatsu-senpai." Kise whined.
I looked back to him.
He tilted his head and shrugged. Wincing slightly as he did, his hand covering his left shoulder in pain. I took a step towards him, for some reason I felt... compelled to make sure he was ok.
"Oh, that's Kagami."
"Kagami? I've never heard of him."
"Forget about him." Kise laughed," The guy who stole the ball, number 11."
I gasped and turned around.. Kise...
"That is my teammate from Teiko, Kurokocchi. Isn't he amazing? Right, right?"
"Why are you so happy?"
"Oi!" A deeper voice scowled, "Keep your hands to yourself already and play the game!"
We all turned to the hooded figure who was standing at the sideline.
Kasamatsu glared and walked up to him, he was slightly taller than he was, "Who do you think you are?"
"I am who I am... It's you who needs to watch where they place their hands."
He grabbed him by the collar and suddenly went deathly pale.
Something was spoken between the two and Kasamatsu dropped him and bowed.
"Sorry, I am so terribly sorry."
Who on earth is this?
He gestured back to the court and Kasamatsu bowed again before running back to the game. The sharp pang of the whistle echoed through the court and I joined my team as the next round began. And I had a funny feeling, they were about to return our greeting.
Kasamatsu held the ball and was reaching down the court, Kagami desperately trying to block Kise, to no avail. Kise was stronger and much faster than Kagami, no doubt about that. Kasamatsu passed the ball under Hyuga, easily getting to Kise within a moment he dunked it with all the force that he contained.
Much stronger than Kagami had when he had done it himself, was he trying to break the hoop as Kagami did? With him it was nothing but a sheer luck advantage that the hoop held rusted bolts inside of it, without that. I highly doubt that without those bolts, Kagami would have been able to pull that thing from its holding. Maybe with his weight in the equation he could have pulled it off without the rusted bolts, but I'm not entirely certain.
