Hideaki was here, a little on edge but here with me. He was trying his hardest to get along with this new team and I know how hard that is for him, now more than ever. He opened up to me last night and I couldn't be happier about that, after five years of being friends he actually opened up to me about, well just about all of it and it was to me and only me.
I know it's going to take a while for him to readjust to all of this, to school, to me, to being on a team again. But here he was making an effort to be friends with this team, even though everything that they told me the day we went up against Kaijo, well it's more than obvious that they do not like him, well other than Aida...
"Kawaii Gen..." Hideaki muttered, his cheeks tinted a pink hue.
I smiled.
"Well, thanks creep." Fukuda growled.
"You almost broke his arm off," Kawahara snapped.
Hideaki straightened out, the pink tint washed off his features, replaced with that sickening callous look that I despise.
"We should get these to the Coach and the second years." Kagami added straightening out his coat.
The other three nodded, shooting glares at Hideaki.
"Yup... seems about right." Hideaki coughed, and ran a hand through his hair, "You go on ahead, ok?"
"No, you're a part of this team too." I sighed, "I mean you're Coach's favorite at least. Please, come on."
He shook his head, "Kuroko, they do not like me. I mean... I did tell them a whole lot... it probably came off as an insult..."
"Kuroko!" Furihata called out.
"They aren't my team Kuroko, they're yours. Mine disbanded the minute middle school ended." Hideaki spoke and took a step away from me, "Go, I'll be fine. I know they won't let anything bad happen to you."
"Hideaki," I sighed, "Please."
He bit his lip and turned his head, "I can't, I can't just stand there with you guys and pretend that they aren't glaring daggers at me."
"Too bad, I have the power of veto and.. and you promised that you would not leave me and I say this counts." I snapped.
He blinked and looked around, "That is the most you have talked in public."
"Yeah well... Come on." I sighed and held out my hand.
He lowered his head and walked up to me, "Fine, but if any of them-"
"Yeah well, fine." I smiled.
He nodded and walked beside me.
The Six of us made our way up to the roof to meet the others.
"Here, we got them for you." Kawahara smiled as he handed the bag to the first years.
"Actually," Kagami coughed, "Hideaki got them for us."
The second year's looked confused and the rest of the first year's froze, a scowl on each of their faces.
I could hear Hideaki scream internally, wanting desperately to run from this situation.
"Really?" Hyuga asked.
Hideaki sighed, "So, is that a problem. There was no way the... It was a tight crowd, they tried really hard. I'm just here to help."
"We were completel-"
"Wow thanks," Izuki smiled from where he was sitting, "Seriously, you came off as a little odd but... you're alright."
