I looked up at the pair that stood well out of earshot, talking deeply with one another. Hideaki-kun's 'brother' of sorts. He had told me on a couple of occasions about Jun and who he was to him, but he said that he hardly ever left the home of the Rogues. Seeing him here at our first game of the season was odd for me, more surprising for Hideaki-kun as it seems.
"Ya Kuroko-kun," Kagami called out as the team began to walk off.
I glanced at him in reply.
"You comin'?" He sighed, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
I shook my head, "I'm going with Hideaki-kun."
Kagami lifted his head slightly to look at the pair of brothers that stood a good ways away, "Fine." With that said, he turned on his heel and joined up with the rest of our team.
I sighed, adjusting my bag and looking at the two. My mind lingering on what Jun-kun had said before. Against Tsuki-chi's personality? Just what does that mean? Closing my eyes as a soft breeze blew across the campus, soothing what nerves stood exposed.
"Kawaii Gen-! Ah... are you okay?"
My eyes shot open, the blinding sunlight obscuring my vision for a moment, "Tsuki-chi?"
"Yeah," He chuckled, tilting his head, "Come on."
"Where are we going exactly?" I hummed, adjusting my bag again.
He cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck anxiously, "Well... uh...-"
"Home, our home," Jun stated as he walked up to us, "There are some things you need to know, well more things."
Hideaki-kun nodded, his eyes flooded with worry and anxiety, not daring to meet my gaze.
"What more do I need to know?" I asked cautiously, hesitantly taking my eyes off of him.
Jun took a deep breath, straightening himself out, his expression suddenly hardening, "Not here."
I looked to Hideaki-kun, and even his demeanor had changed, his eyes focused and wandering around us. His eyes cold and dull to their core.
"Yeah, let's get a move on," He muttered, his tone even colder than his gaze. I felt his arm wrap around my waist, yet his eyes didn't stray to me for a moment as we walked to the car. Not dropping his guard until the doors to the car were firmly shut. His arm now draped across my shoulders.
Slowly I released a breath I didn't realize I had been holding, placing a hand on his thigh carefully.
He looked down at me, his eyes softer, "What?"
"What-"
"Don't ask unnecessary questions boy," Isamu spoke from the drivers seat.
"Zip it," Jun barked, sending shivers down my spine.
Isamu cowered in his seat, locking his jaw firmly as he drove.
"W-what," I stammered, not quite knowing how to ask the question now.
"Don't worry about it, just a feeling was all," Hideaki-kun breathed, a small smile edging on his lips, "You're always safe with me."
I smiled, relief flooding me for some reason, "So... what more do I need to know anyway?"
Jun smiled faintly, "There's a lot you need to know about Hide, Kuroko-kun. Things that might clear up a little bit. Especially those two lost years."
Slowly I nodded, leaning into Hideaki-kun's side, trying my best to relax. I'm not going to lie, there is a lot I want to know about Hideaki, but I'm worried about what it might do to what we have now. He's so nervous about me finding out about the rest of it, what'll happen once I do?
