A/N: Hey, special thanks to joonies_Angel93 for the ship name HideKuro!

"I can't exactly let you leave..." Hideaki sighed, staring down at the picture, his hair covering most of his eyes.

That look... That pained look... His eyes were so dull, lifeless, glossed over with pain and sadness. Thoughts swirling inside his mind, just what were they and what is all of this...?

"H-Hide..." I breathed, my legs rooted to the floor, trying desperately to force my legs to move. But I was terrified... terrified about what was going to happen, terrified about what was inside of this room and why it was in here in the first place.

His eyes found me, it was such a sudden movement that I recoiled, "You're scared of me." His voice was low, cold and demanding. Yet, his eyes spoke something so vastly different. The harsh reality seemed to hit him so fast, yet just as I saw it, it was covered up with something else. Something I wasn't able to figure out.

I swallowed hard, my throat closed to allow anything more than than and some air to push through. I tried my hardest to push through the fear, to somehow find my peace of mind. I knew deep down he would never hurt me, yet still I couldn't seem to tear through the fear.

His eyes strayed from me, walking over to the bed he placed the knives in their rightful place. My eyes were glued to him the whole time, I could feel the beads of sweat rolling down my face as I watched, ever so slightly trembling. He seemed deathly calm as he rolled the thick black fabric back up, and latched it shut before speaking, "Answer me." is all he said, his voice was deep yet softer somehow.

Startled from the change in his tone I mustered out a meek, "Yes..."

He nodded and put the picture down on the cot as he looked back at me, "You shouldn't be." His tone was softer, but his eyes spoke the same as before. He sighed as he walked a step closer.

I cowered away, from him. He didn't seem to care as he knelt down and gathered the papers back up again, "I should've locked that door..." He breathed as he picked up the last of the papers, placing them back where they were, "Kuroko. I need you to let me explain."

My breathing was shakey as I bit my lip, "You need... You need... T-to let me g-go."

His eyes sparked with more pain, "I didn't mean it like that." He muttered. He looked like a large puppy that had just chewed up someone's shoe, "I didn't mean I couldn't let you leave, I just... I meant that I... I need you to stay. Just let me explain all of this. Please."

I swallowed hard, "First... tell me what happened... At... at my house."

Hideaki's eyes flickered down a moment before stepping to the side, "Please, I promise I will answer everything. Just not... not in here."

Nodding I managed to prompt my legs to move, I walked around him, staying as far from him as I was able to.

He stepped back, nearly against the wall as I walked passed, I felt a piece of my heart crack, because I was scared he was trying to make sure that I was comfortable, even if he had to be a mile away from me.

Walking into the living room, sitting in one of the only chairs in the room I waited silently for Hideaki. My head running with questions.

As he walked in, his eyes flickered to me for half a second before taking a seat on the other side of the room, keeping his head down.

"Hide... My house..." I asked after a few moments of deafening silence.

He nodded as he spoke, "I did what I had to." He leaned back into the chair he was in, his eyes were glassy and tired.
