I shifted my weight, the pain killers from earlier beginning to wear off and the pain coming back. I had a little less than five minutes left before I had to go change my bandages and take a couple more pills... I winced at the sharp sound of the whistle, blown by the referee.
"Let the game resume!" He shouted and stood off to the side.
Kaijo and Seirin were separated on either side of the court, both prepared to resume this game. Just in this next part, Kise would be a part of the game. Now this was going to be the fight of the Miracles... I just hope Kuroko can hold tight with this until second quarter.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." Kise smiled as he adjusted his shirt.
Kagami straightened up and smiled at him, "You're finally in." He stated. The passion that flowed out of him will prove to be problematic through this.
"You are way too in sense for a model when you're on the court." Hyuga commented.
"He's not just putting on a show." Kuroko sighed.
Shouts of high pitched girls filled the court, bouncing gleefully off the walls, making my ears ring and my head begin to hurt. Oh for the love of God Kise... Must you be such a womanizer?
"What is that?" Hyuga cowered.
The captain from the other team shook his head as Kise waved joyfully to them.
The screams were devastatingly loud, I looked over at Kuroko. The screams were beginning to pierce his own mind, he never did enjoy loud noises. He looked back at me, I glanced down before looking him in the eyes, those eyes, those innocent, silent eyes. So observant, so soft. I smiled softly and shook my head. I know Kuroko-Kun, just bear with it.
The captain rushed passed both Kuroko and Hyuga, drop kicking Kise, "Quit waving to them! I'll hit you!"
I clenched my jaw and grasped onto my forearm tightly. Who was he to do that to Kise? Captain or not, a simple 'get your head in the game' would have sufficed, even with that thick skull of his. Just get the game started ass hat.
"Ow..." Kise hissed and rubbed his back, "You already hit me Kasamatsu-Senpai..."
I relaxed a bit. Kasamatsu, huh? Your physical poweress is all that fuels your being. You have... nothing special about your being. Kuroko's eyes were on me again. I sighed and shook my head, shrugging. I winced, the pain was growing more and more intense, I placed a hand over my shoulder to ease the throbbing pain in the slightest. Kuroko took a step closer, concern coating his eyes. I smiled faint as the others caught his attention again.
"Oh. That's Kagami." Kise spoke as he looked back at Kagami.
Kasamatsu narrowed his eyes, "Kagami? I've never heard of him."
Kise shook his head and stood in front of Kagami, blocking him from Kasamatsu's sight, "Forget about him. The guy who stole the ball, number 11."
Kuroko turned, I shook my head. I know you like Kuroko Kise, but you should know better than that.
"That's my teammate from Teiko, Kurokocchi." Kise explained with a bright smile.
I smiled, he is just a child. A grown ass child but... His heart is in the right place I suppose.
"Isn't he amazing? Right, right?" Kise giggled.
I scoffed a smile plastered on my face. Yup... A grown ass child...
"Why are you so happy?" Kasamatsu growled and punched Kise in the gut, earning a groan from Kise as he doubled over holding his side.
I gritted my teeth, "Oi! Keep your hands to yourself already and play the game!" I stepped off the wall and walked up to the sideline mark. All eyes turned to me. I couldn't care less. I may not have always enjoyed the attitude of Kise, but he is my family. He and all the others took me in all those years ago, and I'll be damned to let anyone hurt them, even if it's each other.
