Headaches are common for me, but this is a whole new thing. My head is throbbing so much I have a palpitations going on at this point, and Kimori. I don't trust her as far as I can throw her. I have never seen a rookie this hyper in the ten years I have been with the Rogues, each that I have come across are cold and untrusting to others, limited social skills and dark moons stamped under their eyes; along with scars from the tearing of stone and metal against their skin.

Yet this girl, this girl is different, a whole lot different. She is excited, hyper, her skin is near porcelain soft and she seems to have been well fed before she came to us. Just who the hell is this girl.

"Alright... You look like you have a hell of a lot on your mind," Kagami spoke up, "Why don't we go on and stretch and you two talk for a moment?"

The others nodded in agreement and edged away to the other half of the court to give Kuroko and I a lick of privacy.

"Something wrong?" Kuroko whispered, turning me away from Kimori.

Yet still I could feel her eyes burning into the back of my head.

I nodded, "Yeah, this rook just isn't..."

"Rookie, so she's supposed to be an... orphan?" He spoke, crossing his arms across his chest.

I nodded again, "Yeah, that is the problem." I pinched the bridge of my nose in some hope to ease the heated pain of this headache.

Kuroko's hand wrapped around my wrist, and pulled it down, "Just breathe, we can talk more about this after practice and all."

"What am I supposed to focus on, she is my responsibility now." I groaned my head falling onto his shoulder again.

He chuckled soft and I felt both hands wrap around the back of my neck, "Just calm down for me, ok, if you don't. I'll be worrying more about you than anything."

I sighed heavily, "Fine..."

"Captain, I copied the preliminary tournament bracket!"

I pulled away from Kuroko and looked at him, at least my headache had calmed a bit, "Go on, I have to wait for Aida's text and... train a rook that I really don't want to train."

He nodded and jogged off to join his team.

"Kuroko," I chuckled.

He stopped and looked at me.

"I need my phone back." I smiled.

A small tint of pink edged it's way onto his features and he rubbed the back of his neck as he nodded, "It's in my gym bag..."

I nodded and smiled soft as he joined up with the others. Walking off to the sideline to his bag I rummaged through it until I finally found my phone.

"Whatcha doin?" Kimori whispered, her hands finding my shoulders.

I stiffened out and cleared my throat, "My phone, I need it."

She leaned into me a little," For?"

"Not you." I coughed and stood up, shrugging her hands off my shoulders, "Why don't we... go sit on the bench?"

She nodded happily and skipped down to the bench, as she sat her eyes were focused onto me.

I sighed and looked at Kuroko. For him, I have to do this for him. Nodding slightly I ignored the growing headache and turned on my phone, I had to get through this training for Kuroko. I just had to think of something other of Kimori's high pitched, rich girl laughter and snobby snarky voice that nagged at my ear every single time she opened her mouth... OK ow, just thinking that killed part of my soul. So... something else... Something like... like Kuroko, yeah that should be easy, since he's right here.
