Chapter 21

Valeska’s p.o.v

“Hey, Val, why don't you come and swim with us?” Cayden asked me as he was in the pool with the others.

“I don’t like swimming” I mumbled.

“Why not?” he asked and looked me with concern.

*Flashback*

My head was pulled up from the water and I took a sharp breath in lost for air.

“How many times do I have to tell you to NOT talk back at me?!” my father yelled at me before pushing my head down in the water again.

He continued and the last time he held me down I thought I would drown. First at school and now at home. I tried holding my breath but I ran out of breath quickly. He pulled up my head from the water and I began coughing.

“You piece of shit doesn’t deserve to live, but this time I was nice and let you” he said and left me at the bathroom floor.

I continued to breath heavy trying to catch my breath.

*End Of Flashback*

“That’s none of your business” I said cold.

“Don't be like that. Please Princess, why?” he asked with pleading eyes.

“I don’t like water and I don’t like to swim” I said shortly.

“But I can help you” he said getting up from the water and walked towards me.

He sat down beside me on my sunbed and took my hand and kissed it.

“Please” he said and creased my cheek.

“I don’t want any water over my head” I said standing up.

“I promise you, you won't” he said standing up to and smiling brightly.

His smile is so pretty.

Urgh, I hate what he is doing to me but I still love it at the same time.

He walked over to the pool jumping down and surprisingly didn't splash so much.

“Come princess, if you sit down on the edge so will I be able to pick you up” he said reaching out his arms.

“Okay, here we go” I sighed as I carefully sat down at the edge of the pool with my legs in the water.

“Are you ready, Princess?”

I nodded and he carefully slid his hands around my waist and pulling me towards him, off the edge. Just as the water came over my mid-tights I felt how the panic began to build up and I pulled up my legs so far up as I could.

“It’s okay baby, I’ve got you" he said and smiled at me.

He continued to pull me into the water and placed me on the bottom. Oh shit. The panic and memories came back and I jumped at Cayden and clinched onto him like my life depended on it. He pulled me into his strong embrace and held me like a baby on his stomach. He had one arm under my butt and the other one had he around my waist, holding me in place as I put my head on his shoulder with my face facing his neck and wrapping my arms and legs around his body. It felt so right.

“Whatever that made you afraid of water, can I tell you now that you don’t need to be afraid. None of us would never ever hurt you or do anything against your will. Okay baby?” he said and stroked my back.

I just nodded and hugged him harder and he did the same.

Cayden’s p.o.v

Having her in my arms felt so damn right. She began to relax more and more and I kissed her shoulder.

“Woho! I knew it!” Hunter pumped his fist into the air.

“Hunter, shut the fuck up” Dominic hissed at him.

“What, I knew it all the time! I don’t want to say I told you so, buuut, I TOLD YOU SO!” he shouted over where I and Valeska stood.

I just rocked my baby from side to side and ignored him.

“And now he’s not answering me because he thinks I’m an idiot” Hunter said again.

“Well I can’t blame him, you ARE an idiot” Simon said and shook his head and heard Valeska giggle.

I adore her
I love her
Yes, I love her
I love Valeska

“Cayden? ” she said and looked up at me.

“Yeah Babygirl?” I said smiling down at her.

I looked into her beautiful dark brown eyes. I love them, I love her face, her hair, her body, her attitude. Especially the two last ones. But more important. I love her.

We continued to stare into each other’s eyes smiling and not saying a thing.

“Your eyes are so beautiful” I said, it just slipped out.

“Yours too” she said blushing and looking down at my chest in embarrassment.

I kissed the top of her head and she leaned again against my chest.

“Tomorrow” I began taking a deep breath and continued.

“Would you like to go on a date with me?” I asked nervously? Yes, nervously.

She looked up at me surprised and her cheeks went red.

“Yes, I would” she said and smiled.

She once again leaned against my chest.

“Thank you Princess” I said and kissed the top of her head.

We stayed like that for a while and I was just about to ask her if she wants to go up from the water but she had fell asleep against my chest. I smiled down at her and began to make my way to the ladder.

“Hey, Cayden” Hunter said behind me.

“Hey Hunter”

“Wait up” he said and I turned around.

“What is it?”

“Tell me"

“Tell you what?”

“You have been smiling the whole day and that’s unusual for you”

“You’re right” I chuckled.

I’ve actually been happier ever since Valeska tagged along, she makes me feel something I’ve never felt before.

“Tell me, now”

“I’ll tell you, but first I’m going to get up, put Valeska on a sunbed and get something to drink”

I got up of the water with still Valeska in my arms, sleeping like an angel. I putted her down at her sunbed and kissed her forehead. I walked into the house with Hunter trailing not far behind me. I opened the fridge and took out two bottles of cola and tossed one of them over to Hunter who caught it.

“Now, tell me Cayden”

“I love her” I said it straight out.

“I love Valeska”
