While Scott and Ari work on beats, I end up sitting in my room alone texting Shyanne about how much I miss her. I want to tell her about Scott kissing me but I just want to forget about it at the same time. It's been replaying in my head since yesterday. Scott has feelings for me, which means Ruby was right. It breaks my heart to think that he would do that to his blood but it breaks my heart more that he would act on it. Especially when Ruby was in the next bedroom.

I let out a big sigh, my foot feels worse than it did yesterday. I reach into my drawer and pull out a bag of Xanax popping two into my mouth.

"That should help."
I sigh, jabbing at my pillow to fluff it.

Two weeks later

I'm to the point where I can finally walk on my foot again. It's been a couple weeks and things are weird with Scott and I. Ruby has been distant also, I don't think Scott told him or Ruby would have brought it up. I just don't know what's going on with either of them. I feel unwelcome in the house that I used to spend most my time in as a kid and teenager. I get these thoughts that I should just pack up and go home but I don't wanna leave the boys.

A knock on the door startles me and I sit up as someone makes their way in.

"Get- were you just pleasuring yourself?"
Scott asks blatantly.

"What? No, why would you think that?"
First of all I have Ruby for that.

"Your face is red and when I came in, you shot up a lil fast."
He has a huge grin on his face.

"I have someone for that."
I squint my eyes, but I notice his grin fade.

"Who? Cause I heard yous and Rubes haven't been getting any pleasure done in the past week or so."
He hums.

"Dude! Why are you talking about my sex life?"
I huff with a little smile I'm trying to fight.

"What sex life?"
I grit my teeth.

"Please, I have more of a sex life than you."
His eyes widen and he steps into the room.

"Is someone grumpy cuz they didn't getta finish?"
He closes the door on his way in.

"Scott, shut up I wasn't, getting off."
I cringe at the words.

"I'm playin shawty, just wanted to tell you we're partying, so get ready."
Ugh, even though we haven't been to a party in a while I am still not looking forward to this.

"Who's gonna be there?"

"Everyone."
With that he shuts the door. I huff throwing the cover off of me.

"Stop your huffin an puffin."
Scrim calls out, making me laugh.

$
"Sup Cherry?"
Pouya calls out walking towards the boys and I.

"How you gonna acknowledge her first."
Ruby jokes.

"Because he likes me better obviously."
I smile, but his face doesn't hold a smile so mine fades.

"That's a long shot Cher."
He says with no emotion as he shakes Pouya up. I just roll my eyes and walk away.

"What I say?"
I hear him say. I get to the kitchen and pour myself a drink as it is always the first thing I do when I come to parties.

"Cher, right?"
I hear a familiar voice, I turn to see Coco.

"Courtney, yeah."
I say enthusiastic with a smile. She pulls me in for a hug and I don't hesitate to hug her back.

"So glad you're here, I have no girl friends."
Her voice is so small it makes me smile.

"Same, I'm glad you're here."
I reply.
