Betrayal At Sanders Mansion, Season One

Game Three: Round Seven

Dee takes a chance and crosses the Abandoned Room, going to the Statuary Corridor and exploring off of it. He finds the Crypt.

"I keep finding the creepy rooms." He mutters, frowning and hugging himself with his good arm. The dog's hackles raise as it growls at a coffin in the center of the room.

Dee approaches it warily, narrowing his eyes.

He opens the lid and screams, jumping backwards. His own body is in view for a few moments before the lid slams shut.

Dee shudders and turns away from it quickly, not wanting to think about what he's seen.

"Patton wait." Roman enters the Chasm and stands at the edge. His friend looks up at him, clearly terrified. "Let me go first."

Patton doesn't argue, and Roman carefully inches his way across the thin, spindly walkway.

He gasps as he opens the door. "Patton, c'mon!"

"I can't!" Patton cries back. "Just go without me!"

Roman chews his lip worriedly, looking at the elevator in front of him. "I can always send it back downstairs." He tells himself before punching a random button.

The elevator's rattling nearly drowns out the rest of the house. Roman holds his breath as the Dining Room slowly comes into view.

Patton finally makes his way across the Chasm. When he opens the door Roman went through, he enters the Dusty Hallway.

He lets out a cry of frustration as he's faced with three more doors. He sits down in the center of the room, ignoring the rumbling of the house for a moment to vent his feelings.

"I don't think I'm anywhere near the stairs." He finally says softly into the walkie talkie. "Virgil ran off in the other direction."

"Sit tight, Patton. I found an elevator, I'm going to try to send it down to you." Roman promises.

"Be careful Roman," Logan says quickly. "This house is falling apart at the seams, it might not be safe."

"D*mn being safe, Patton's stuck in the basement!"

Logan shakes his head to himself, but doesn't say anything more to the others. He pulls the book he found in the Dining Room from his bag.

"Logically, I should be able to use the same circle." He murmurs to himself, setting the book in the center of the markings.

As he begins to chant, the circle glows. Logan grins and keeps going, closing his eyes as he performs the whole exorcism.

Again the house stills momentarily. Logan allows himself a small moment of rejoicing.

Virgil explores off the Catacombs, entering the Underground Lake. He chuckles darkly as he listens to his victims frantically try to help each other.

He knows his chances, and he knows Patton's and Dee's.

Preoccupied with said chances, Virgil walks straight into a massive spiderweb. He curses and yanks it down.

The Larder collapses into the Abyss, joining a host of rooms lost to Hell.

Down the house goes!

Collapsing, burning,

Who lives? Who knows?

This game isn't kind,

It doesn't play fair.

Around every corner,

A new sort of scare.
