Shortly after, they set up this mystery girl up in one of the rooms. Jace frequently coming in and out, although I do not know what for. Clary's been reapplying runes when needed. Then Jace re-entered the room.
"So... Who do you think she is?" Clary asked.
"I don't know. I guess we'll find out when she wakes up." Clary sat by her on the bed, and then gently grabbed her hand.
"It's not right Jace. She young... Why would she be here? Hiding from us?" Jace then walked over to the side of the bed, took Clary's hand, and pulled her to the point of standing. Then held her close, never wanting to be seperated again.
"This kind of thing does happen Clary. We may not want it to, and may never know when, or why, but fate works in mysterious ways."
"I though you didn't believe in fate." Clary said, now looking up to Jace.
"That was at a time when I believed Shadowhunters to be unbeatable. Flawless. Now I know better, because when I thought of myself as triumphant, I was actually flawed, thinking of my self as an idol. Then I met you, and I knew."
"Knew what?" Clary questioned curiously.
"That no ones perfect, but if anyone ever knew of someone as an idol, it wasn't me." He then put his fingers to her chin, pulling her up until their lips met sweetly, and briefly. "It was you," he continued.
