Then they heard a cough, and broke away, knowing it to belong to the girl in bed. She lay there. Her long red hair cascading over the pillows. Her light, hazel eyes, filled with confusion, worry, and then oddly, grief. She looked frightened, and frightened she was, as she scurried out of the bed, running to the window. But not before Jace caught her from around her waist, and stopped her. Clary then came over, trying to soothe the now crying, and nearly petrified girl.
"Shh... Shh... It's okay... We're trying to help." Clary said soothingly, as the girl still spasmed in Jace's clutch. Clary then realized. "Jace, let her go," and Jace did so. Jace then stood with Clary, and watched as the girl crawled over to the wall, put her knee's up, and cried. Then Clary carefully crossed the room to the girl, and simply sat across from her indian style(criss-cross apple sauce).
"I'm Clary. Can you tell me your name?" She simply nodded, still trying to stop the tears from flowing, but failing at first.
"I... I'm... Cal-... Caliza..." She said softly, while still choking on her sobs.
"That's a very nice name. Can you talk to us? Explain to us why you are here? Can we help you get back to a family perhaps? Maybe a relative?"
"No... I'm... Alone..." That's when Clary realized, and exchanged a glance with Jace, knowing he thought the same.
"Do you mean you have no family?" She simply nodded, and Clary couldn't help but comfort her, by simply hugging her, and strangely, she didn't push her away...
