Never Let Go

Pretty soon they found the sleeping quarters. Once they had climbed a few flights of stairs that were connected to the hallway, they had come across it.

There was three different hallways attached. Each one with one bedroom on the end, and three or four other rooms running down the side of interconnected halls. Clary and Jace had picked the one on the very end.

They walked, hand in hand, while carrying their luggage behind them. As they neared the bedroom doorway, Jace quickly dropped his luggage, and swiped Clary off of her feet. Clary couldn't help but laugh.

"Every bride should have this." Jace said with a smile as he carried her through the threshold, and into the bedroom.

Then he sat on the edge of the bed, with Clary now sitting on his lap, her legs wrapped around his hips. They kissed with urgency, then passion, but now fiercely. As if the two had wanted nothing more, than to become one. To knit themselves together and never let go. But Clary pulled away, and put her forehead to his.

"Not tonight." She whispered.

"I'm way too tired." Clary continued as she yawned.

Jace simply gave her a slight kiss, and picked her up once more, and carried to the opposite side of the bed. He pulled back the sheets, and carefully sat Clary down as if she were as fragile as glass, or as delicate as a snowflake.

He then pulled the sheets back over her, and kissed her temple.

"Good night my love." Jace whispered.

"Good night Jace." Clary said tiredly. Then exhaustion took her over, and she was asleep.

Jace had then slipped off his clothes until he wore only his black boxers, and climbed into bed next to Clary, wrapping his arm around her.

"Maybe he could get everything he'd wanted after all." Jace said in a whisper.

Then, he fell asleep peacefully, right beside Clary.
