Auxiliator's POV
I walked quickly through the hallway. I had just returned from another of my 'jobs' and I was extremely tired. I wasn't watching where I was going until I felt my foot hit something and my body fall.
I heard a small, "Ow" under me.
I quickly moved away, knowing that I must have tripped over one of the maids, but which one? There were many maids here; at Dame Gothel's large home. I always thought of her home as a castle, it certainly was as big as one. Dame Gothel was kind of a clean freak. She always needed everything to be perfect and clean. I like having my things in order but I wasn't like Dame Gothel, she had 60 maids and 60 servants working for her, and those were only the ones taking care of her, the other 200 attended the house...I know, crazy.
I stood up and brushed my cloths. The I looked at the maid. I was about to say something, but I stopped realizing that it was Aldara. I had been gone for this job for an entire year, and I had forgotten how pretty Aldara was, at least to me she was. Over time, I had grown feelings for Aldara, but I wasn't quiet sure what those feeling were. She should be 16 right now, ever since I she could walk and hold a broom, Dame Gothel had made her a servant.
"I'm so so so sooooo sorry!", she said nervously picking up the bucket and drying up the water that had been spilled.
I knelt down and helped her clean up with my scarf. Aldara stopped cleaning and stared at me.
Then slowly realizing that it was me she gave me a wide smile, a tight hug and said, "Auxi! Your back! Oh, I've missed you so much!"
I smiled and hugged her back, "It's nice to see you to. Sorry about the bucket"
She let go of me and I helped her up.
"Oh no,no! It was my fault", she said brushing her hair back, with her finger tips
I smiled, she was so kind.
I was about to ask her something, when I heard some one clear their throat.
Aldara and I turned to face the end of the corridor. There standing with a large frown on her face was Dame Gothel.
Aldara's POV
"Auxi! Your back! Oh, I've missed you so much!", I said as I hugged Auxiliator.
I smiled and hugged her back, "It's nice to see you to. Sorry about the bucket"
I let go of him and he helped me stand up.
"Oh no,no! It was my fault", I said brushing my tangled hair back, with my finger tips. I didn't want to look as bad as I did. I was so happy that Auxi was back, I missed him so much. Auxi was the only person in this place that was nice to me, everyone else hated me. I am the youngest here and also the clumsiest, no one here talks to me except for Auxi. He is my best friend, this year had been hell without some one to talk to and spend time with.(I call him Auxi because his name is way to long).
He was about to say some thing when we heard some one clearing their throat. We both turned to the end of the corridor, only to find Dame Gothel with a wide frown on her face.
I felt my hands quiver, I was afraid. I looked down at my feet and bowed.
"Begging your pardon miss", I said
"Hmmmmm", I heard her respond
Then I heard her foot steps, getting near me. Then a few inches from me she stopped and stood their for a minute.
"Look up", she finally spoke
I stopped bowing, and lifted my head, as I did my eyes caught sight of a flash of anger in Dame Gothel's eyes.
"What happened here?", she said, pointing at the bucket on the floor and the spilled water.
"Well, um I was I um...er"
"It was my fault.", said Auxi
Dame Gothel turned her attention to Auxi.
"Auxiliator?"
He nodded, "Yes, I was so tired that I wasn't watching where I was going, and I knocked the bucket down and spilled the water"
Dame Gothel eyed the both of us, then she finally said, "Very well. Auxiliator, welcome back, but do mind what you are doing, you know that I do not enjoy a messy home."
Auxi nodded, "Yes off course...my deepest apologizes."
Dame Gothel gave a small smirk and then turned to me.
"You girl don't just stand there! Go get a mop and clean this now!!!"
"Yes, yes, yes, yes, I'm going, I'm going, I;m going", I said quickly, as I picked my things up and ran out to find a broom.
Auxiliator's POV
I watched as Aldara got her things and ran off. I gave a deep sigh, I felt bad for her.
But my thoughts stopped when I heard Dame Gothel say, "So your back"
I turned back to face her.
"Yes, I am"
"I'm so glad you are, the business went well...I suppose"
"Yes", I answered, "You know it always does, I am a good worker"
"Indeed", she smirked as she brushed my hair to the side with her hand.
I cleared my throat.
"Well I better get to bed, I'm very tired"
Dame Gothel bit her lip.
"Yes of course ", she said, "Get your rest"
I nodded and thanked her. I felt her eyes on me as I walked away. I knew she liked me, more than just a worker. But the thing is that I didn't feel anything for her, she was just my employer. I didn't see why she liked me, after all she has so many lovers and men after her. It doesn't matter though, I don't love her, maybe that's why she is interested in me. Either way my heart is not for her, no matter what she does. She's just not my type, if I have a type. Here this is Dame Gothel:
Yeah I know she's pretty, but as an old friend once told me, 'I've met pretty people, with ugly souls'
I thought of Aldara, poor Aldara she must so worried. ..all I want to do is find her and make her fell better, after all I was the one who fell on her.
