Noises

I didn't want to see Auxi's body...I wasn't sure of how I would react. I walked ahead as Balyn carried him behind. I swear this forest has gotten creepier since last time I was here. It just has this energy...so...different...darker.

I lay face up on the marble table. I knew Auxi was next to me, but I didn't dare look.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" asked Balyn. Dame Gothel was almost done placing the spell.

"Yes. I lost him once...I can't loose him again."

He nodded understanding my reasons.

"I'll stay behind and keep Eddy safe." he promised

"Thank you" I hugged him "My good friend, you have always been here for me."

He shrugged "I couldn't leave you alone. Now go get Auxi back, I miss that guy."

I nodded and closed my eyes.

"I don't think I'll be gone to long, at least that's what Dame Gothel said."

"Are you sure you can trust her?" he whispered as for her not to hear.

"No but I haven't a choice. Plus if I don't come back, you can kill her for me."

"Fine, be careful? Who knows what lies in Limbo."

"I will."

"Are you ready?"

"As I'll ever be"

I felt the a cold bubbly feeling surround my body. It was strange and uncomfortable, but I didn't move-in fear of messing up the spell. Suddenly I heard the crashing of glass-maybe a window? And screaming-not human screaming. I panicked. I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't, I tried moving too but my body wouldn't react. The noises began to fade away-distant.

Breathe. Breathe. I told myself. Everywhere around me was darkness. Empty darkness. I blinked, I couldn't see anything but at least I knew I could move.

"Eddy?! Balyn!? Auxi?! ANYONE?!"

A fog began to creep around me, and there were-voices? coming from inside it. I couldn't understand them, it was like one hundred people whispering in the same room.

"H-hello?" I asked the fog, but it only grew in size-now it had completely surrounded me and I could make out shadowy figures inside-of people.

Their voices became louder but I sill couldn't make out any words. Fear began to surge through me. I closed my eyes. This was it. I was going to die-alone in this dark empty place-far away from everyone I love.

I heard the sound of sword and I opened my eyes. A dark figure with silver shiny sword, struck at the fog. Strangely where the sword hit the fog became solid and an ear splitting cry would erupt form the fog, until finally the fog was no more.

My heart was beating so hard that I felt it might explode.

"You should not have come Aldara."

"A-auxi?"

"You should not have come." he repeated but now he was only a foot away from me and I could see him clearly. There was something in his eyes that I had never seen before-some roughness.

"I came for you-"

"I didn't ask for you to come. I told you to forget me."

"I-"

"Just stop Aldara. Now I have to get you out of here. Follow me and stay close, Limbo is not a safe place for some like you."

"Someone like me?"

"Someone alive."

"Auxi I don't understand, aren't you happy to see me?"

"No, I'm not."
