When Spirits Rise, Things Run DownHill

Aldara's POV

"Aldara darling!"

I cursed under my breath. I stood up straight, and saw him coming with his arm wide open.

I slightly bowed, "My lord"

King Uthyr came hugged and kissed me. I just stood there, I had painfully learned the consequences of kicking him, punching  or pulling away.

"Oh smile darling", he said pecking my cheek

"Is there something I should be smiling about my lord?" I asked wanting to punch him in the face

He leaned in and whispered in my ears, "Maybe that tomorrow is your 18th birthday."

I felt a cold chill run down my body, all I could think of was that Auxi better same me ASAP!

"My Lord", said a knight who came up to us, as he slightly bowed.

"Yes?", asked Uthyr slightly annoyed.

"Sir, one of the men claims to have seen an intruder."

"An intruder? Is he sure?", asked Uthyr

"Yes sir."

"Then what are you doing here?! Go! Get the men ready! Find this intruder!"

"Yes sire", said the knight bowing one more time before leaving.

Uthyr turned to me, "You, go to your room and lock the door, don't let anyone inside. Do you understand?"

"Yes", I nodded and walked off to my room.

I couldn't help laughing once I closed the door of my room.  Auxiliator, was a genius, he was the best at whatever he did, they would never find him...but he would find me. I had to be ready, so I pulled out a leather, thin, bag and stuffed it with some cloths, and a few other things. I opened my window, and sat on my bed, waiting.

Auxiliator's POV

I stuck my body to the wall, hiding in the shadows. The knights past by, swords in their hands, following the path lightened by the torches. I smirked, it wasn't the first time that I had come to this castle, I had been investigating, learning it by heart. I now knew exactly where everything was. Judging from the knights's path, they were headed to the treasure room, and the the throne room, to protect the king and gold. But I wasn't headed for the king, or the gold, I was looking for some thing much more valuable to me.

I smiled as I thought of Aldara, of my plan, everything was going to be perfect.

Aldara's POV

I was beginning to think he wasn't going to come when I heard a familiar voice come from the other side of my door. I got up, but before I could open it, the door creaked open. Fear ran down my body, what if it wasn't Auxiliator? Then I saw Axiliator poke his head inside, he searched the room with his kind eyes before spotting me, and sending me a dashing smile.

I couldn't help but to smile and blush wildly.

Auxi came in and locked the door behind him. We both ran, wrapping our arms around each other.

"You came.", I whispered with relief. 

Auxi hugged me tighter.

"Yes, yes I came. I came....Wait"

He slightly pulled back, just so that I could see his face. He made a playful smile.

"Did you ever doubt me?"

I smiled and shook my head, "Never."

Auxi smiled back, and pulled me into a kiss. The first kiss we had shared in almost 2 years.

Suddenly a loud knock came from my door and I heard one of the voices I hate most in my life.

"Oh Darling?!!!!?"

Auxi put his finger in his lips, meaning to be quiet, as he began to hide.

I just stood still, my wide eyes fixed on the wooden door.

Then BOOM!!!!!!

the door was now on the floor, an don it was the king, four knights behind him.

He walked up to me and grabbed my chin.

"Darling, why didn't you open?"

I cautiously thought of my answer.

"You told me not to open the door to any one, I was afraid that it was a trapped, or a trick...my lord", I pretended to be afraid, which at the moment wasn't that hard.

Uthyr slowly walked around me. My heart felt like it was going to pound out of my heart at any second.

Uthyr snapped his fingers, and as he did, the four knights that had come in behind him, began to search my room. They searched every centimeter, throwing, knocking, and pushing everything they found in their way. Then one of the knights found Auxi, and everything went downhill from that.

All at once dozens of  knight came into my room; some surrounding me, and others fighting Auxi.

I stole one of the knight's swords and began to fight back, I wasn't going to just stand there like an idiot, again, and let them take my happiness from me.
