PRESENT:

I can't keep my eyes off of him. And I know he can't keep his from me...because I've caught him staring, and I can feel it when I look away. I'm still in shock and find everything hard to believe. The last thing I remember is my father dying, Emma leaving, and being surround by the curse. And now here I am in my house with my friend, son and Auxi-who last time I checked was dead.

Eddy brought all of us some plates and served us milk and cereal, before sitting down next to me. I grabbed a spoon and began to eat his Lucky Charms.

"Is this food like oatmeal?" asked Auxi eyeing his plate

"No, oatmeal is gross." answered Eddy

Auxi smiled "Your mother didn't like oatmeal either. I had to sneak some of the fruit in my jacket for her-because she preferred to starve than to eat  it."

"And then you would eat my oatmeal for me." I smiled

"Well someone had to eat it."

"And trust me when I say it I am glad it wasn't me." I said smiling. This felt odd-talking to someone I haven't seen in so long, but it also felt so...normal.

PAST:

The dreams are strange-and I swear many times I feel as if they are pulling me to them-with an energy unlike any other. These moments are the moments when I think of my dreams-and I wonder how innocent and childish I was. Now I understand Regina:love only hurts.

A loud screech is heard from our right, and Auxi immediately signals for me to hide as he brings out his sword. This is the third time we've been attacked.  Above us a hawk like shadow with talons bigger than my arm swooped down, aiming at Auxi. He slashed his sword, evading it's grasp. Once more Auxi cut the beast, and it let out an awful cry as it stabbed it's talon into Auxi's arm. If it hurt, Auxi did not let it show-he fought the beast with a new strength, ending it within seconds.

As soon as the creature had vanished from existence, I ran over to Auxi.

"Your arm! Are you alright?"

He winced but turned away mumbling incoherencies of being 'Alright'

Anger filled me. I was tired of lies. I was tired of his distance. And most of all-I was tired of this place.

"Auxiliator Artifex-or Sebastian-I don't fucking care. If you don't let me check your arm, I swear I will drag your sorry ass back to life and then kill you myself!"

His eyes widened "I didn't know that side of you."

"You were dead for more than 200 years-what did you expect? For me to stay that little idiot girl that had no idea what pain was?" I asked through gritted teeth

"Actually I was hoping for the opposite."

"What does that mean?"

"I was hoping, that you'd learn to be strong-so that you wouldn't need me."

"But I do need you." I said the anger in me flushed out

"No you don't. All this time you thought you needed me-but it was the other way around. I'm no good for you-and the faster you realize this the better."

I stared at him, not knowing what to say. I took his arm, my eyes widened as I spotted his injury. The talons had left three large marks in his arm. His blood was black, and sticky.

"Auxi-"

"I'll be fine."

"You're bleeding c-can you die- here?"
