PAST:

"HURRY RUN!" yelled Auxi before taking my hand and pulling me. We ran as fast as we could. The terrible shrieks filled the air behind us. Fear pounded inside me.  They had somehow found us, those ghastly monsters were now on our trail, reluctant to let us free. We are so close, I can feel the power-the light of the other side. But the shadows are desperate-and will not give up a new life so easily.

I could hear my rapid heart beat in my ears, and I feel my legs giving in.

"Auxi how much farther?!"

"We're close! Just hold on! We can get there!"

PRESENT:

"But why not?"

"I just don't want to go!"

"Eddy, it's just school. You have to go."

"But mom! Think about it this way-"

"No Edward. You are going to school."

"But why?!"

"Edward, you need to go to school, you need your education."

"But..it's dangerous! I mean the witch is around and-"

"What's the huge deal with school Ed?"

"I don't want to go." he said stamping his foot and running off.

I sighed as Auxi walked into the kitchen.

"What was that about?" he asked

"I told him that I enrolled him to the town school.. I thought that he would like that you know? He would get to meet more kids his age, and I just... I told him and he got angry at me... I don't understand why."

I covered my face with my hands.

"It's alright."

"I knew I wasn't made to be a mother."

He pulled my hands from my face and smiled "It's alright Aldara. Just because he got upset doesn't mean you're a terrible mother."

"I know. I just wish I knew why he doesn't want to go you know?"

"How about I go talk to him?"

"Would you?"

He pecked my lips "Be right back"

PAST:

"Leave him alone you fucking beasts!!!!!!!" I cried taking Auxi's fallen sword and swing it at the last 2 monsters left. 

"A-Aldara j-just run! Don't be stupid!!" said Auxi, rolling on his side desperately attempting to stand

I ignored him and concentrated on 3 things. 

1. My anger

2. The monsters

PRESENT:

Auxi's POV

I knocked twice on Eddy's door. No answer.

I turned the knob and opened the door slightly. Eddy was on his bed, angrily throwing a rubber ball at the door.

"Hey kiddo, you want to talk?"

"Just go away."

I stepped in carefully closing the door behind me. "I heard you were upset about going to school"

"I am not going."  he kept throwing the ball at the wall

"Want to play a game?"

He held the rubber ball in his hand "What kind of game?"
