BETHANY...
'Ding dong, ding dong, ding dong,' the door bell sounded endlessly while I stepped out of the shower. Who could that be, I wondered. The urgency in the way the person rang the door bell made rush to the door. Maybe it was an emergency. As I prepared to leave my room, the ringing of the door bell stopped so I took my time as well while I walked to the front door.
'Ding dong, ding dong, ding dong,' the sound annoyingly resumed.
"You might as well break the door now," I spoke frustrated. I opened the door and stood in disbelief.
"Sister dearest," Eleanor purred. She was seated on the floor in the hallway leaning her back against the wall with her eyes closed and her feet lain straight before her. She looked slightly intoxicated. "I might have drunk a little bit too much and forgotten the passcode to the apartment," then she burst out laughing right afterwards. Scratch that, she was clearly very drunk.
As I helped her up from the floor, I asked her what she was laughing at now.
"I said I drank a little bit too much. Do you see the contrast there? Or are you just avoiding my joke," she responded full of humor.
"The fact that I didn't notice it makes it a shitty joke," I responded as I dropped her on the love seat in the living room.
"How did you even get home?" I walked to the kitchen to get her a glass of water to help clear the alcohol in her system.
'Charming dropped me off,' I think I heard her say.
"Who?" I asked her just incase I heard wrong.
"Charming, you know, Roman," and the glass in my hand fell back in to the sink. I quickly picked it up. Thankfully it was not broken but that was the least of my worries. My sister had just been drinking with the man I think am falling in love with. Yes, I finally admitted it. I am falling head over heels for Roman and am doing all I can to hide my emotions. Why would my sister be out drinking with the man am in love with.
But does she know that you like him. That nagging voice in my mind spoke. Well she has got to know I like him with the way I react when she brings him up during our conversations. How shy and uncomfortable I get. She has to know I like him. All the signs are there or she hasn't noticed. I am going to go with the other voice in my head that says she noticed all the signs.
"Do you like him?" I asked her as I put the glass of water on the table in front of her. She sat up straight then thanked me before chugging all the water down her throat.
"No, I just met the guy like two days ago," she replied unbothered but it was that unbothered tone in her voice that showed she was telling the truth.
"Do you like him?" she demanded lazily pointing at me as she fell back on the couch.
"I think I do," I responded mostly to myself hoping she did not hear me and she passed out snoring like a log. She was too heavy for me to lift her to her room. She was way more curvy and thick than I was. She was way heavier than I was so I brought her grey ruffle duvet and covered her on the couch plus her jelly cat medium brown teddy bear, Scrumptious, whom she never slept without. What a name for a teddy bear.
ELEANOR...
My memory of last night disappeared like a puff of smoke. I couldn't remember anything at all in the morning. Yes I remember hanging out at the bar with Roman and his annoying friend, Carter who kept calling me Khloe but everything after that was a blur. How did I even get home.
