"I can take you to see her if you want." The doctor offered, she'd explained that everything went well with surgery, but for now they would be keeping Lizzie in a medically induced coma until the swelling in her brain went down.
Scarlett just nodded, before the doctor motioned for her to follow.
She'd been warned that Lizzie was in bad shape, but actually seeing her wife so beat up with tubes connected to her, one attached to her head, and one breathing for her, was hard. It was a position Scarlett never wanted her to be in and yet here they were.
"You can talk to her if you want, she might be able to hear you." The doctor told her, Scarlett nodded in response before she grabbed her wife's hand.
"I love you more than anything. I just want you to know that. I don't know why I let things get so bad between us and I'm sorry. Just know that I've always loved you and I always will."
