The next day, Link was getting ready for school. Same stuff, different day. But he didn't have too much time left until he graduated from that dreadful place.
There was a knock on the door. Going towards the door, Link answered it, seeing big blue eyes staring at him. "Link! Are you almost done?"
Link smiled fondly at the little girl. "I am, Aryll. I just need to grab my backpack."
"Please hurry! I want you to see me off to the school bus!"
Link let out a laugh. "Alright, alright. I'll be there in a second." Double checking to see if he got everything, he grabbed his backpack and exited out of the room.
Walking outside the orphanage, Link saw that the school bus was waiting for the children who attended school. Seeing the other orphan children get on the bus, he waved at them, only for them to wave back.
"I need to get going, Link." Aryll said. "Thank you for walking with me."
Link gently patted the top of her head. "Yeah, you should get going before the bus leaves without you."
Aryll started to pout. "No it won't!"
Her expression made Link chuckle. "Have a good day at school."
"I will! Bye!" Quickly giving him a hug, Aryll ran towards the school bus, making her way inside.
The doors to the school bus closed, and it began to drive away. Link could see Aryll through a tiny window, waving at him. Link waved back with a fond smile.
Just like how Aryll adores him, he adored her. Link wished that she would have an easier life than he did. He hoped that one day, she will get adopted into a good family and be happy. At the same time, the thought of that could make him cry.
Letting out a happy sigh, Link began walking down the stairs, walking on his way to school. Same things, different day. That was his life motto, and nothing would ever change that.

Arriving at school, Link sat down at his desk. As usual, he didn't have anyone to talk to. Though it was his own fault since he was so quiet. He knew his classmates thought he was weird, but he didn't mind.
An arm wrapped around Link's neck, trapping him in a half nelson. He felt someone rubbing their fist into his head. "You won't walk away from me today, loser! You better fight back if you know what's good for you!"
Link struggled in Groose's grip. Looking towards the classroom, he only saw his classmates staring, no one was attempting to stand up for him. They were all scared to pick a fight with Groose. Typical.
Someone smacked a book against Groose's head, having him stop giving Link a noogie. "Groose. Let Link go. Class is about to start."
It was their teacher. Letting out a groan, Groose released his grip from Link's neck. "Yeah, Mr. Ghirahim."
