Safely making it to the other side of the swamp, the three of them leapt off the raft as fast as they could. The swamp continued thrashing violently, the sound of the Loch Ness monster was very faint. The wooden raft ended up drifting away, disappearing into the fog.

Link patted his hip area, making sure he still had his sword. The shield was still on his back, feeling reassured that he didn't lose anything. He let out a sigh of relief. "Thanks for doing that, Ace. Though... There could've been a calmer way to escape."

"But we can have a good laugh about it now!" Ace responded.

"We could've died, man!"

"But are you..?"

Link pouted. "No..."

Zelda covered her arms with her hands while slightly shivering. "I felt a chilly wind just now. Lorule Town isn't too far."

"My question is..." Link spoke up. "Where are we going to get winter clothes?"

"We'll have to bare it and get some when we arrive in town."

"So... We're just going to freeze our butts off until then. Good to know."

"It won't be that bad." Ace said. "It's only slightly below freezing."

"That's bad for me! I never had a winter that was even near below freezing!"

"Link." Zelda said sternly. "The sooner we get to town, the sooner we can get warmer clothes. Rambling isn't going to solve anything."

Even if her words were harsh, Zelda was right. He was starting to shiver a little, feeling a cold wind pass by. "I hope they have gloves as well..."

"They have everything that can keep you warm." Ace spoke up. "Since we've finally made it this far, there's no use in stopping now!"

Link nodded. "I won't back down. My sister needs me." His eyes turned serious, looking straight ahead. "Hold on for just a little bit longer, Aryll. I'll be there soon."

Zelda saw the determination in Link's eyes, grabbing his hand on instinct. The gesture made him look at her, seeing a warm expression on her face. "We'll do this together."

He felt his heart skip a beat, feeling himself smiling at her. "Yeah."

Ace started walking ahead. "Let's go! The sooner we get there, the sooner we can kill this king! I'm so ready!"

Link raised an eyebrow. "I mean... I'm the one who has to kill him but ok..." The thought of killing someone made his heart sink. But this time, his fear was not going to hold him back.

Even if his cowardice doesn't fully fade away, Link would have to overcome it during the heat of the moment. He was nervous, anxious. But he had to be strong.
