Link and Zelda looked at one another, confused on where this mysterious stranger came from. The stranger's crimson hair was blowing against the air, waiting for one of them to speak.

Wanting to break the silence, Link cleared his throat. "I'm Link. Nice to meet you. Ace, was it?"

Ace nodded. "That's right. And what is your name, young lady?"

For some reason, Zelda felt a strange gut feeling in her stomach. But since this guy saved their lives, she thought he wouldn't be their enemy. "My name is Zelda. Where did you come from?"

"I'm one of the new recruits for the Summer and Autumn borderline. I was just out hunting some yokai. But right now, I'm planning to go on ahead towards Lorule kingdom. You see..." His faced turned dark and serious. "I'm planning to get my revenge on the king for killing someone dear to me."

Link dropped his jaw. "He killed someone close to you?! This king is really merciless..."

"I saw it with my own eyes. I ran away like a coward, but... Then I realized I should stand up to the king and avenge my loved one."

Link shrugged. "I mean, hey... We're not going to stop you. We're on our way over there also to do the same thing."

"Link." Zelda spoke up while shaking her head. She leaned close to his ear. "You shouldn't let others know your identity just yet. If someone we don't know finds out you're the prince of Hyrule, you will have an even bigger target on your back."

"I'll be fine, Zelda." Link whispered back. "Besides... I have you here with me so nothing bad will happen."

Zelda slightly blushed while looking away. "Perhaps you're right."

Ace made himself known. "Since we all have the same goal here, why don't we travel together? The more the merrier, I say! King Ganondorf can't possibly take down three people at once."

"You know what? You're absolutely right." Link responded, turning towards Zelda. "Can he come along with us? I bet we'll have a better chance now at defeating him."

Still feeling uncertain, Zelda let out a sigh. "Very well." She turned towards Ace. "If you're willing to be an ally, then you are welcomed on our journey."

Ace smiled brightly. "Thanks! I'll try my best not to get in your way! I'm pretty handy with weapons as you could tell from earlier."

"I can tell. You took down a giant oni like it was child's play."

"That's nothing to me!"
