Sonny and I have been dating for 4 months after a month of going on dates and getting to know one another. Although I work in the city 4 days a week, I live in Hoboken, NJ. The small distance hasn't slowed our relationship down, but it gives me a lot of time to think on my way home from our nights out together. This Friday night Sonny is coming to my apartment straight from work and he's spending the night. It'll be the first time we've spent the night together. Although we've slept together, this feels like a big step and I'm beyond nervous having him stay over. I spend my afternoon getting the apartment cleaned and buying everything I need to make dinner. Just as I get the pot pies out of the oven there's a knock on my door. My stomach flutters as I go to answer it "hi doll, I missed you." He hands me the flowers he's holding as well as leans in to give me a kiss.

"Hey Son" I say after our kiss "I missed you too, come on in."

"Thanks" he smiles, coming inside with his overnight bag in his hand "should I put this in the bedroom or just leave it here for now? No rush." He makes sure to get my permission.

I shake my head a little and laugh "you can put it in the room. Dinner just came out of the oven so feel free to take a seat after and it'll be ready in a minute."

I go to move to the kitchen and he hollers to me "can I help with something?"

I wave him off "I got it, take it easy." It takes a bit less then 10 minutes to get the dinners plated and out of the kitchen to the table. By the time I get out there Sonny managed to find 2 candles from my living room and has them lit already on the table "setting the mood early tonight, huh?" I tease him, placing the plates of food down.

He stands when I come over, moving to get my chair for me "just wanted a perfect evening with my perfect girl." I blush and thank him for getting my chair. He takes a seat after and we both bow our heads to pray. Sonny says the prayer when we are done saying amen he looks at me with glittering blue eyes and compliments me "this looks divine. Thank you for dinner tonight."

"My pleasure, I'm glad you were able to get a day off tomorrow." I say back.

The conversation continues to flow from there with everything he planned to do tomorrow on his day off with me. As we finish that conversation and move to another one, I can't help but admire everything about him as he eats with manners, listening carefully to what I say as well as engages with my conversational topics. Later in the evening, Sonny and I spend time together in bed, but nothing like we have in the past. This time when we're done, we shower together, getting more intimate then we have before. And afterwards he helps me with putting on lotion and brushing out my hair "Sonny, you don't have to do this. I got it." I try and say as he takes some of the lotion and rubs it in his hand.

"It's my pleasure, doll." He simply puts it, coming behind me to put the lotion on my shoulders. After he does both sides, he leans in to whisper into my ear "anything to keep my hands on you" and he lays the softest of kisses on my neck, causing me to crumble into his arms for a second time that night.

The next day I wake up to him already awake and making us breakfast. I head into the kitchen to help and afterwards we get ready to go to an early baseball game in the city. We spend the day together enjoying America's favorite past time. When the game is over, we get an early dinner at one of his favorite restaurants. As we start the walk to the train station, hand in hand and our arms brushed closely together, I decide to just tell him "Can I tell you something just between you and me?"

"Anything." He replies.

"Well, first I just want to say that when I hear your voice, I know I'm finally free of all my past relationships and mistakes. And every single word that comes out of your mouth is perfect, literally." I sarcastically add at the end.

He chuckles "oh, stop."

"No, I'm serious." I cace in telling him, "it actually can be annoying some times how it's so perfect." I chuckle back "but there's so much more then that too, there's so much I want to say to you."

"Then say it." He stops walking and turns so face me, intently listening.

I smirk and go on, "I used to be afraid to fall in love, because of the pain that always follows. But with you, I know that I'll never fall down. It's like I can speak to you by saying nothing at all and you get everything I'm trying to say."

He smiles and adds on "I think I know where you're going with this." He puts his hands on both side of my hips and pulls me closer to his warm body, "every single time I see you, I find it harder to breathe. Being apart from you actually hurts me."

"I get it. It's like there's this this pain in my heart and it's only ever gone when I'm actually with you." I confide "I know I'm falling" I take a deep breath and say "I need you here with me. I love you."

"I love you, too." He replies before leaning down to kiss me passionately on the lips. We kiss for a few minutes before he stops and says "every single night, I find it harder to sleep. Until last night. That was the best sleep I had in a long while dear, and I know it's because of how much love I have for you and having you next to me. I don't think I can go back to waiting to see you every few days."

"I don't want to do that either." I admit to him, wanting nothing more then to be back at his place or mine and entangle ourselves in our sheets.

He asks "why don't you spend the night tonight? I'm not ready to go home without you."

I bite my lower lip, knowing my answer before he even finished the sentence. I nod and smile to give him my answer and he leans back in to kiss me again. I tell him "I love you" one more time, and he tells me it back.
