The Other Night Fury (Toothless x reader)

Chapter 1

Song: Darkside

"Quiet" came one soldier as one of the dragons growled when he passed by their cage. My mind just went to the scene of seeing my friend before getting caught dumb humans

But these humans looked different from the ones that held me in the cage "Astrid. I had him right where i wanted him" a boy like man spoke as some other humans were screaming about being on fire

"And now he's right where I wanted him. Let's get to work"

"Okay, we screwed that up, but at least nobody else knows we're here" seeing the man that spoke go into a dragon cage till hearing more yelling "get the rescues out of here!"

"Get that Night Fury!"

'Night Fury?' thinking in my head as all I heard was humans shouting and other dragons letting out their loud roars while in my cage from being so foolish. Noticing that the odd humans were flying away with the dragons. Using something my friend taught me, not trusting them still as a dragon walked by sniffing the air "Toothless, time to go!" The said dragon ran off hearing his name called. After looking around I saw i'm the only one left

(flashback to before the raid)

"Come on, Saph. I just want to go out and explore the outside. It's not like humans are going to go near a huge waterfall with boats, they're to dumb. It's so boring here"

"It's not that bad, but what if a human sees you? They'll know there is still your kind and that same human will try to get you" she tries reasoning with me

"I'll be careful, Besides, maybe another Night Fury got away like i did. And if there is they're out there thinking the same thing i have been for so long" but her reasoning fails as i keep urging her more to let me go out

Seeing her sigh as she saw the look on my face. I've been in what we call the cave of dragons for so long and never once checked to see if any other Night Furies got away like me because she was always telling me reasons as to why I should stay here instead "fine. But only, and only if you stay hidden. That human is relentless and he thinks he got all of your kind, but if he knows of you he'll hunt you down"

"I know, and i'll be careful" smiling at her excitedly knowing I finally won the argument to let me leave and I ran off, spreading my wings and flying out of the cave. Being out of the cave and looking around brought a smile to my face as I looked around. Doing tricks in the air and close to the water as I felt the thrill of the outside world. And in an instant that was all over faster than it lasted as a net was now around me while i let out a roar when I crashed into the water from my wings not being used to help me fly

"Bring it up boys, Grimmel. Will love to see this one" a human spoke as I looked up and growled at them hiding how scared I was right now

(flashback end)

There was so much noise as dragons tried to escape and the humans got them with nets bringing them down "back! Do what I say, now! Do what I say!"

"Grab the other head on that Zippleback!"

"You belong to the-" but i ignored the person shouting when noticing the one person i didn't want to run into as he was followed by some dragons as while he walked up some steps being glad he didn't see me

"My dear warlords. How go your plans to conquer the world?"

A man laughs at his question "Grimmel, my old friend. Thank you for coming" one of Grimmel's dragons tackled the man "oh!"

"A year since Drago's defeat, and no further along with your dragon arm, i see"

"You can thank the young chief of Berk for that" a girl spoke

"Stoick's boy?" Grimmel asks to clarify the right one

"Yep, he and his peace-loving dragon riders continue to raid our ships and steal our dragons" the man spoke as he tried keeping the dragon from his face

"Mm. that does sound like a nuisance. But i'm in the business of killing dragons, not retrieving them" Grimmel spoke as he snapped his fingers while he walked away, his dragon following

"But, Grimmel..."

"That idiot boy has done all of the work for you, gathering the dragons in one place. Why bother me?" my enemy spoke as he walked back. Trying to keep him from seeing me as I backed away

"Because the flock is protected by a Night Fury" that seemed to get his attention

"Not possible"

The man that spoke of the dragon continued "it seems one slipped through your fingers. Or should I say two" Grimmel looked at him confused as the other guy spoke

"Look, Berk's dragons will follow the alpha. So we'll pay you to capture him and bring the flock to us. And about the second Night Fury you missed? It seems one of our boats caught it" he smirked as he spoke in a sing song voice as they turned to my cage

"The only dragon they left us from last night's raid" obviously shocked they missed one

"A female? Hmm"

All i gave was a soft coo while bringing my wings over my head as the metal mussel covered my face preventing me from attacking my back facing them "so, do we have a deal, old friend?"

The roar from a dragon cut them off as it ran towards them and Grimmel shot it, taking the dragon down quickly "when all is said and done, this young chief will bring me the Night Fury. they don't have a leader, just a boy" Grimmel spoke as he walked off with a plan in mind and I already knew he planned to use me to catch this other Night Fury. cooing softly again scared for not me, but the other dragon. I won't let that happen
