It's almost as if society nowadays has an infection
All these kids do is stare at their own reflection
Things of the past, they can't set aside
They keep themselves bound, eternally tied
To the children they once were
Young dumb and foolish
The children have deterred
And drowned in their clueless
They tie weight after weight around their ankles
Replaying memories in their minds
If only life were okay though
And society wasn't blind

Maybe the bitter infection could reside
