August 1, 326 B.C.
Today is the 5th anniversary of the Battle of Gaugamela and the end of the war with Darius. Today is also the worst day of my life, for today my leg was cut off. No more soldier life for me, as I will be lucky to even get back to Macedonia in a wagon made for the wounded like me, with amputated arms, legs, some other aliment. The next trip is in a couple of months.
