Falling Down Under

Chapter 11.

"Ohmygod the zoo! Great idea" Shauna cheered, while picking up her bag and following Luke to join the queue. Nice one, Luke, I take it we are rehoming you then?"

"Nah, thought I'd bring the lions their lunch" He replied back while grinning and nudging her shoulder with his fist as they both fell about laughing. "I'll pay" He added as they quickly reached the front of the queue.

Side by side, Shauna and Luke paraded into the Zoo, manouvering their way through the crowds of people. Different paths led off to different parts of the Zoo, however neither of them new which way to go. Luke rumaged in his pocket for the map he had been given at the entrance and unfolded the crumpled paper. "Let's go feed the Llamas" He finally decided while taking the lead and following a small path to the right. Shauna followed apprehensively, shaking her head slightly as she jogged to keep up.

"I never knew you to be so in love with llamas" Shauna said as she caught up with Luke.

"Who isn't?" He replied while smiling at her and throwing a handful of pellets into the enclosure.

"Luke, what the actual hell?" Was shauna's only responce as she watched a teenage boy in a unicorn onesie, feed some llamas.

A few hours past, the sun blared through the cloudless sky, as lunchtime approached. Hunger crept up on them like lions stalking their prey a motive to leave the penguin parade and have some lunch.

"God, Im glad I took the onesie off its bloody roasting out here" Luke complained while taking a bite out of his cheese sandwich. His phone suddenly vibrated on the grass they both sat on, however Luke motioned Shauna to pick it up and read the text for him.

"It's from Daniel and he said 'heard about your night last night! ;) what yalla doing?' Do you want me to reply?" Shauna asked while typing in the passcode which she has sussed out from earlier and began typing a responce anyway.

"Yeah just say that Im hanging with you, and I'll see him later" Luke said while lieing on the grass under the sun.

"Yeah sure." Shauna said sweetly while pressing send on the message she had typed. Hey baby xx just been shagging some Llamas because i'm sexually deprived :( let's get some tonight ;) xx

With a small chuckle, Shauna went to place the phone into Luke's pocket when he suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her to lie down next to him. "Look Shauna, after feeding the Llamas, It has made me realise that I like you. A lot. I know it's quick, but I seriously can't stop feeling this way about you, um..so yeah, as romantic as this is, go out with me please?" Luke turned his head to face her with an almost puppy-dog look to his eyes. Her heart melted at how gorgeous he was right now, and sure enough she did like him too. A lot, but she just couldn't help herself and burst out laughing.

"Um, well I didn't expect that reaction, eh...what did I do?" Luke asked worried, as Shauna tried to contain her laughter.

"Ohmygod, you've done nothing hahaha! Please don't kill me but go read your texts!" Shauna eventually blurted out through a fit of laughter.

"You are really strange," Luke said with a grin while opening up his most recent text from Daniel. Um..Luke, you sure your sober yet? If you're that sexually deprived, about giving that blonde stoner from last night a go? ;) see yalla.

"What the hell? Um...Shauna, what did you send Daniel?" Luke peered from above his phone, the corner of his lip raised in a slight smile.

"I just thought he should know about how you were coming on to the llamas earlier." Shauna replied casually while picking strands of grass from the floor and smiling to herself.

Luke, rolled onto his side as he scrolled through the previous message. "Are you kidding me! Oh my god your not funny!" He yelled trying hard not to laugh, and shoving Shauna's shoulder. "Well, this is awkward, lets sing." He started to sing the words to Call Me Maybe dramatically with various hand gestures and actions.

"Luke Brooks you are some guy, you are! We should definitely do this again some time!" Shauna grinned.

"Shall we call it a date then?" Luke responded while casually biting his lip.

"A date it is." She replied while grasping his hand and staring into the blue sky above.
