Falling Down Under

Chapter 10.

Unhooking the leads, the three dogs bounded off around the house as Amy flopped onto the nearby sofa. Dora had left a note on the coffee table saying she was off to her Zumba class so Amy switched on the laptop and logged into her Twitter.

"2756 interactions and 3209 followers!" Amy whispered to herself. She couldn't understand why she had so many mentions and follows after James had followed her, other people didnt get that many surely. But her querie was quickly answered. Amy favourited the tweet with a huge grin on her face;

'@james_yammouni Just met a british fan while out on a jog! so cute <3 @SahyounieArmyUK'

Amy started to flap her arms like an idiot as she quickly replied to the tweet;

'@SahyounieArmyUK @james_yammouni OMGG OGMOGMG THANKYOU SO MUCH OMG!!!! XXXX :D'

Within 5 minutes, her tweet had recieved 432 retweets and 509 favourites. Amy squealed, then bounded upstairs to wake Tara and tell her everything that had happened.

The loud quacks of Shauna's phone almost made her jump as she unlocked the screen. It was a text from Luke. "Hey Shauna :) Want to hang out today? Don't worry if your still recovering, I am ;) xx"

For a split second, she could'nt understand why Luke was texting her, then she realised the events of the previous night. The sun blared through the window making it difficult to see anything. Typing in her passcode, Shauna hesitated as to what to reply back with. Everything had happened so quickly and alcohol had played a part in it for both of them. However Luke's text seemed like it wasn't just a one off. "Um...yeah but give me like 5 hours, I'm tired as hell :) x" She eventually replied with while flopping the covers off her bed and dragging her half asleep body across the room and into the wardrobe.

"Um Lucie, you know more about boys than me. Luke wants to hang out with me but I think this is happening too quick, I literally met him last night and we were barely sober." Shauna asked while pulling on a pair of blue shorts and a Cream shirt with a black pattern on it. A load groan came from the far end of the room where Lucie lay sick to the bed. "Yeah whatever." She eventually replied.

"Eh, what do you mean?" Shauna replied confused while tieing up her converse and brushing her hair.

"Go and hang out and fucking leave me alone!" Lucie groaned again, covering her head with the sheets. She would need like a week to recover from her binge last night.

Ignoring her, Shauna headed downstairs and grabbed some breakfast and began to read the newspaper like the OAP she was. There was nothing much, just updates on the Serbian war etc. There was one article about a Missing Disney Star, but knowing this newspaper it was probably just another money scandel.

It was now 11.30am. Dora was still at Zumba. the three dogs slept like logs in their beds, Lucie was bed-ridden, Tara fast asleep, and Amy doing what Amy does best, Fangirling. "OMG SHAUNAAAAA! I met james Yammouni and he followed me and tweeted me and I have loads of followers and interactions and its so cool and he called me cute and he loves the dogs and and..!" Amy blurted out while thrusting her iPod screen in Shauna's face.

"Ok ok ok calm down, thats really cool though Amy! I have to go out but I'll be back later" She said while grabbing her bag

"Where you going?" Amy questioned, with a look of authority.

"Oh just out with Luke for a bit, its probably best we get to know each other more before anything happens." I replied maturely

"Oh la la anything happens! " Amy teased while craning her neck to look at my phone as a new text came in.

"Amy I don't mean sexually I just think he's being a bit quick, and what the fuck? Hes outside" Shauna sighed. Talk about moving quickly.

She turned the handly of the old wooden door and stepped out into the fresh morning air. The cool breeeze wafted around her face obscuring her vision as she moved down the stone stairs. The main courtyard- infront of the house consisted of a round water feature in the middle with a gravel drive wound round it and down to the main gates which were locked. Shauna jogged down to the gates where a car lay parked nd motioned the driver to roll down his window so she could shout.

"Hey, the gates are locked and Dora didn't give me the code!" She stood like an idiot with her bag at her feet unsure what to do.

"Climb over it then!" The driver replied. Shauna recognised his voice instantly as Beau- Luke's older brother and quickly did what he said. However climbing a 2 metre gate proved to be more of a struggle than expected.

After what seemed like ages, Shauna's feet landed safely on the other side as she picked up her bag and climbed into the car next to Luke. "Hi." She said with a puff, brushing herself down and regretting wearing shorts as now her legs had cuts and scratches down them.

"That was funny." A boy next to Luke replied with a chuckle.

Shauna looked round to see Jai grinning like a cheshire cat as he switched on his phone.

"Ok, what is going on?" Shauna stammered. She felt kind of awkward in the situation especially as she wasn't sure what was going on between her and Luke.

"Onesies." was Luke's reply, and sure enough he was sat there in a blue unicorn onesie. He looked so adorable especially as he kept biting his lips and playing with his lip ring.

"Damn, I could have worn my green dinosaur one" Shauna said while gently slapping Luke's shoulder.

"You'd drown in a Onesie. " Beau teased from the front with a chuckle.

"Fuck off." Was the most civilised comeback she could come up with.

The car jolted along the road silently. Beau drummed on the steering wheel along to the beat of the local radio station, Jai informed everyone that he was doing an 'AskJai' on twitter and Luke gave demonstrations of different animals and then pretended to hibernate for at least 30 minutes.
