walking into the cafe, hands intertwined with your boyfriend, youngjae, you let out an excited squeal as you took in the sight of more than ten puppies around you, some chased each other around playfully while others rolled on the floor lazily.
you immediately felt extremely thankful to your bestfriend who had offered you the coupons.
flashback
you were having lunch with your bestfriend in the cafeteria and she suddenly whipped out two coupons, placing it in front of you.
"What's this?" you asked, perplexed, as you grabbed the coupons and examined them thoroughly as if it was a bomb you were trying to deactivate.
"Coupons that allow you free entry into a dog cafe, you can have them. You should go with your boyfriend, i think both of you will like it." She said, before stuffing another spoonful of fried rice into her mouth.
You let your eyes wander around the cafeteria before finally landing on your boyfriend, who was busy laughing with his group of friends.
It was as if both of you had a telepathic connection and his eyes averted from his friends and you found him staring back at you.
After flashing you a cute smile, he went back to talking with his friends.
"Ooo! Someone's blushing alright!" your bestfriend teased as she made stupid faces at you.
At first, you were tempted to flick a spoon of noodles at her but you thought better of it and settled on just narrowing your eyes at her.
"Anyways, are you sure you don't want the coupons? I mean you can go with Jimin right?" you questioned, trying to direct her attention back on the coupons.
"Um well, thats what i originally planned, but Jimin's busy and he can't go, or so he said," she explained, as she rolled her eyes, "Besides, i think dogs suit you and youngjae more. You guys will probably enjoy it more than us. Just take it as a treat from me, or more like a special date i planned for you lovebirds."
"Hey!" she shrieked as your spoonful of noodles came flying in her direction but sadly, she was squirming too much that it missed her and landed on the floor.
"Oops, you got to clean that up now missy." she ordered playfully as you clicked your tongue in irritation.

you looked over at your boyfriend and realised that his eyes were also filled with excitement as he immediately bent down to pick up the nearest puppy.
you were too immersed in staring at how cute your boyfriend looked while he played with the puppies that you didn't notice he was calling you.
"earth to (y/n)?" he laughed as he poked your nose playfully.
"are we here to stare at me? Or to play with dogs?" He questioned, his lips curving up into a sly smile.
"stop it!" you squealed like a child as you slapped his arm gently, a light blush appearing on your cheeks.
chuckling, he plopped a dog into your arms and you immediately started attending to it, giving the puppy the attention it wanted.
"you're so cute!" you smiled in delight as you stroked the puppy's head.
"but definitely not as cute as me right?" youngjae added as he leaned his head on your shoulder.
"hmm, i'm not very sure about that." you sighed, furrowing your eyebrowns and pretending to think.
"pftt meanie." He pouted.
for the rest of the afternoon, both of you sat at the cafe, sipping slowly on your drinks as you either talked about school or stared at the puppies playing around with each other.
