Vale was packed with all kinds of people working on the Vital Festival that was happening in a few days. It was unlikely, but Weiss was actually excited and happy for once. It made the other member of Team RWBY feel uneasy.
"The Vytal Festival! Oh, this is wonderful!" Weiss smiled as she clapped her hands together in excitement.
"I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much, Weiss" Ruby said. "It's kind of creeping me out"
"How could you NOT smile?" Weiss rhetorically asked. "This is a festival dedicated to all cultures. There will be singing, dancing, a tournament, the amount of planning that goes into this festival is absolutely breathtaking!"
"You really know how to take a good thing and make it boring" Yang added.
"Quiet, you!" Weiss ordered. The four girls soon arrived at the docks.
"Remind me again why we're spending our time arriving at the stupid docks" Yang frowned.
"Ugh, they smell like fish" Ruby complained as she pinched her nose to block out the horrible smell.
"I've heard that students from Vacuo are going to be arriving here today. And, as Beacon's representative, I think that it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom"
The girls walked across the docks as a huge horn sounded them. Team APRJ was laying on the dock railings, laughing to each other.
"You know, most of the time, I wonder if they'll ever have a chance at getting through the tournament" Amity got off the railing and scratched his hair. Pico took one last breath of smoke before stubbing out his cigarette.
"If you ask me, they're gonna need to up their game" Pico adjusted his hat as the gold ring that surrounded the top shone in the distance.
"Hi, boys!" Ruby shouted, catching their attention.
"Ruby, how you doin'?" Jotaro waved.
"We're fine, we heard that students from Vacuo were coming here today" Yang explained.
"Vacuo?" Amity chuckled. "A little heads-up, I was actually raised there"
"You were from Vacuo?" Blake asked.
"What's it like?" Roaul questioned. Amity sighed, trying to make the most out of his information and memories.
"Well...it does get quite hot there" Amity started. "It's mostly Faunus' that live there, a lot of sand...I think"
"Sounds like a...decent place to live" Weiss noted.
"It isn't" Amity shook his head. "At least...not for me"
Ruby then eyed something to her right, it was a shop that had been filled with police tape. From the looks of things, it was a crime scene. The eight of them headed up to the scene.
"What happened here?" Yang asked.
"Robbery, second one this week, place is turning into a jungle" Officer #1 answered.
"That's terrible" Yang pulled a sad face.
"Must be, Roman" Jotaro squinted his eyes. "I know a robbery like his when I see one"
"Or maybe, you're looking at it wrong" Roaul smirked.
"They left the money here?" Officer #1 asked.
"Yeah, don't make a lick a' sense" Officer #2 replied.
"Who would need that much dust?" Officer #1 asked.
