Ayla's outfit.

I sat in the limo, my arms crossed as I glared at the seat in front of me. I'm wearing one of Miley's dresses since I had no clothes and spent the day trying to convince them to not bring me to this stupid event.

This morning, Robert called Keith to his office and I haven't seen Keith since. I'm worried about him and tried to ask Robert about it, but he brushed me off. I even tried to ask Miley but she just laughed and walked away.

So, besides trying to convince them not to bring me, I spent the day doing nothing but stressing and worrying. I couldn't even eat anything because of how worried I am for Keith and...Cole.

The car came to stop and I felt my heart race. I can't deny that I'm excited to see Cole if he does show up, but I'm also scared. I really hope he doesn't show up.

The men piled out of the car and Robert held a hand out to help me. I didn't take his hand as I got out of the car on my own and fixed my dress.

Robert hasn't even said anything to me about calling Cole. And I'm not sure if I should be happy or nervous about that.

We walked towards the building and Robin placed a hand on my upper back as he walked beside me. I turned my face to him and sent him a glare, which he smirked at.

Once we were inside the building, he dropped his hand and I looked around. So far, I don't see anyone I know.

We went to a table and Robert's men took up two other tables. Robin and Robert sat me in between them and I dug my nails into my palms, hating that I'm here with them.

An hour passed as I sat silently at the table with my arms crossed. Robert and Robin talked with many different people before settling down and talking with one another.

They mostly talked about ways to get Archer in control and then went on to talk about a few people that are in the room. There's a lot of people here now and I'm trying to look for familiar faces, but I keep getting mixed up.

I cleared my throat and stood up, but Robin grabbed my wrist and turned to me.

"I'm just getting a drink." I said and pulled my hand away. He didn't try to stop me again as I walked over to the table of food, water bottles, and glasses to pour alcoholic drinks in.

I grabbed a water bottle and opened it, looking around the room as I took a drink. I don't think I see any familiar faces and I feel a mix of emotions.

Cole isn't here. I'm disappointed because I wanted to see him, but I'm glad because now I know he won't get hurt.

"Ayla?" I turned to the source of the voice and raised an eyebrow as I saw Brennen. A woman is on his arm and, if I remember correctly, she's his wife, Adriana.

"Brennen, hey." I greeted him with a small smile and a small wave to his wife. "Adriana, right?"

"Yeah, it's nice to meet you." She smiled back and held a hand out, which I shook.

"Where is Cole? I didn't know he'd be coming." Brennen said and I tensed as an arm wrapped around me.

"She's with us." Archer spoke and I pushed his arm off me, which made him chuckle.

Brennen looked at Archer and narrowed his eyes at him before turning to me.

"If you need anything, my table is over there." Brennen said, gesturing his hand to the area.

"Thank you." I gave him a small smile and he walked away with his wife.

"How do you know that old man?" Archer asked, coming to stand in front of me.
