'I love you but I want to love myself more.'
- Author-------------------------------------------------------------
I
picked up the phone call
Vibrations running through the wall
Called you a hundred times
When you said you'll be with meExcited as it seems
You're mine and I'm yours, finally
But the moment you answered the call
That's the time I regret the mostWith your hoarse voice you said
"Honey, I'm sorry"
Truly bemused feeling nervous
"Let's break up"Three words hit me like a bullet
Stab my heart to death
Words punched me in the face
Shocked I replied "Why, honey?"Am I not enough?
Where did I not satisfy you?
I gave everything to you
So don't bullshit me that it's not me it's youYou said together we'll watch the sunset
When we are old together
With our sons and daughters
Like a perfect family gazing the viewTimes passed by and I think
Cried every night
Grieved everyday
For my heart that doesn't healFor my heart that is in pain
For my eyes that puffs out of tears
For my lost self
For my lost future with you"She's pregnant"
Is what you said
"Do you love her?"
Asked by me bravely"You know it's you"
It's me but you picked her?
"I'm sorry, I love you"
Sad to say, I don't want toI gave, you take
This toxic relationshipI love you but I'm hurting
You were mine but why is she with you? That's why I've got to let you go
Maybe in the near futureI'll find someone better than you.

I'm experiencing my first heartbreak right now and I'd just write this poem. Words kept flowing through my mind and my hands delivered it.
To all my readers, love yourself more than you love someone. Xx
