Growing up in the heart of New York. I was welcomed to the word of liberation, riches, media, and fashion.
Erase. Erase.
Growing up in a city where stereotypes are common. Labels and society status, I welcomed them.
That sounded cocky.
Erase. Erase.
Feeling frustrated I sat up from my study table and went to the kitchen to drink my milk.
It's 1 o'clock in the morning. Still, I can't sleep because of the article that I need to send to my editor tomorrow. I know, it's too early to work but it's definitely better to pass work early.
Finding my milk, I immediately pour down a glass of it and drank. Swallowing all the creamy nutrients from the milk. Weird description? I know.
"Chanel.", I jumped out from the voice behind my back.
"Klein! You almost scared me to death!", I exclaimed looking at the blonde man behind me.
He laughed and took a glass, pouring himself some milk.
"Why are you even up anyway?", I asked.
"I can't sleep.", he said.
"Same. Gotta have some work done anyway.", I said while putting my glass in the sink.
"Anyways, I gotta go. Go back to sleep.", I reminded him.
I was about to turn around and go back to my study table when I realized something.
"And oh, it's Shanyl not Chanel.", I added.
He looked taken aback by what I meant.
"My name is Shanyl not Chanel.", his eyes widen when I informed him.
I smiled and walked away.
When will people realize that I am also a part of this family?
Can people even realize that I also exist?

Short update for today! Well, it was supposed to be published yesterday but the weather in here was bad and the electricity just cutted off! Geez, that's why I only uploaded a short update for today!
