"Its going to rain hard tonight. There's a speculation that storm is raging in the east. It's moving at a speed toward the northern side. So ladies and gentlemen please seek shelter at your home and don't go out at night for your own safety." The news lady announced pointing at the weather graph chart  she was showcasing.

Emily was stirring the curry she was cooking for Allen as she listened to the news. She looked at the clock. It was 6:35 pm of the evening. Allen was still at Daniella 's place. Reminding herself that she had to pick her up in an hour or so, Emily turned the stove off.

She grabbed her coat, shrugged it on as her phone buzzed. She pulled out her phone, and sat on the sofa. It was her husband.

"Hayden?" Emily whispered the words in the phone as she awaited to listen from the other side. "Emily I-I can't do it anymore! I'm useless!" Hayden .Z's voice broke down as he poured his heart to Emily. The only person who didn't leave him despite everything he did to her.

Hayden and Emily has been happily married for 15 years. He was a great father until his company bankrupted, forcing Emily to take up a job, which she did find in a decent company, the company being many of the old rivals of their company. But they needed the money. Emily had no choice. The money was good. But Hayden fell into depression. He's now mildly abusive and not addicted to drugs, always blaming Emily for all of the trouble fate put on him. But he was still good to Allen. And Emily still had hope in him. But the part about being 'Happily married', Emily wasn't so sure about it anymore.

Emily panicked, hoping that he didn't do anything stupid." Where are you? Are you ok?" Emily asked, concerned. Already on her feet, wearing her sandals, grabbing the house key, ready to go and fetch him.

"I'm at the bar downtown." Hayden said but then Emily could hear him cry on the other side. Emily rushed out of house, making her way towards the bar.

The bar was down a narrow shady alleyway .It was a shabby small bar. The sun was set down by the time she reached the bar. She entered the bar, the smell of alcohol and cigarette filling her nostrils. She felt nauseated at the sight. She looked for Hayden, but he was nowhere near to be seen.

A guy was sitting alone on a stool. She thought it was her husband. She approached him and patted him on his back.

"Hayden?" Emily called out to him.

The guy who looked back wasn't Hayden, but a young guy with blonde hair and brown eyes. Hayden's  eyes were grey and blue.

"Sorry." Emily apologized and the guy smiled at her. Emily scurried her way past the tools and went to check wether he was in the bathroom. She waited outside as she watched a blur of people coming in and out of the bathroom stalls.

Suddenly a voice from the corner of the room attracted her attention.

Hayden.

She thought and went towards the voice. It was a small room, with two little sofas. One occupied by her husband and other was occupied by a woman dressed in as little as clothing can get who was currently possessing his mouth onto her.

Emily gasped out,her hands touching her lips. "HAYDEN!" Emily yelled out. But Hayden didn't hear. Hayden was too into his anger and hatred.

They stopped for air,Hayden saw his wife storming out. Hayden went after her. "Emily." He called after her realising his mistake, wrenching the girls hand off him.

But then he saw Emily with another guy. His hand behind her back. Touching her close.

"Are you okay?" The familiar guy from before asked Emily as he saw her crying. Emily shook her head.

He cheated on me. Despite all the abuse,I put up with him. But this is too much.

But then she thought of Allen. They had to come to a compromise. For Allen. She tried to stop her tears. The guy handled her as if she was as fragile as glass as she cried.

But then Hayden suddenly grabbed her hand and dragged her to his side. Emily got startled at first but realized it was him from the feel of his rough hands. Emily started to fight him off. Disgusted at him. "Get the hell away from her!" He yelled at the unknown man and the man retreated.

Then Hayden dragged her out of the bar. Hayden headed home. He had imprisoned her hand in a tight grip. Throughout their way towards their house, Emily tried to fight  to come out of his hold, they kept walking in silence.

After entering their house, was the time he let go off her. And then he grabbed an alcohol bottle and started to gulp down its content.

"You cheated on me!" Hayden yelled at Emily. Hayden then smashed the bottle and glared at her.

"Hayden, you kissed that girl! Don't turn this thing about me." Emily yelled at him in fury.

Hayden then pulled out another bottle and started to drink.

Emily watched him, trying to calm herself self down. " Look Hayden,if promise not to do this again,I'm ready to compromise."

"Excuse me? I didn't do anything wrong. I don't need you. Leave Allen with me." Hayden spurred in anger. His rage was eating him away.

"Never. I'll take Allen with me if anything you can walk over my dead body but I won't ever leave Allen with you."

Hayden glared at her and grabed her by her hair, pulling hard at her strands. Emily let out a strangled cry.

Just then a knock came. It was as if the time had paused before the storm, lest Allen didn't know there wasn't any rewind button she was about to face forefront.
