Sasuke was trying his hardest to control his steps. He drank too much, he tried to walk straight but his feet were stumbling. The growl when he felt his stomach turn over. He needed to get home and throw his body to his bed. But he felt tired, so tired as if he walked miles. Sasuke was about to fell forward until someone caught him. "How many did you drink?" He recognized that voice it belonged to the Nara. The uchiha tried to remember his name. "What brought you here?" Shikamaru didn't even looked at him he just took sasuke's arm over his shoulders "because this is my village i can go wherever I want" and the they fell silent for a minute before he spoke again "besides i hate these fancy dinners" he frowned to no one. And sasuke walked accepting his help, he needed it other way he would ended up sleeping in the street. Shikamaru was the one who spoke first after minutes of silence. "You seemed close to hinata"sasuke wondered why he asked Shikamaru never showed any interest in anything that was including him, so he thought before answering "she and Naruto come to visit me a lot " Shikamaru knew that was a lie, not all of it. But if he thought that he could lie by words then those dark eyes betrayed him. He could see the small smile on his lips, his eyes were looking forward but they seemed to be out of focus. Shikamaru raised one brow then dropped it without asking.

Shikamaru opened the door with his foot and walked inside the dark ,tiny apartment. (So small) is what Shikamaru thought. It was scary how things turned out for the last uchiha to this. He remembered him in the academy. Everyone hoped to be like him and every girl wanted to be with him. How cruel this life could be, it took him only one day to disappear from this village and turned everything upside down. Naruto had said no one could blame him, and was about to tell him everything but Shikamaru wasn't interested. Sometimes it's better to be ignorant than know everything. He threw the already sleeping uchiha to his bed. "If you didn't drink a lot you would have walked to home by yourself ,such a drag" Shikamaru said in low voice , he didn't care if the person who was laying heard him or not. But he knew he did when he spoke, mumbling to be specific "I would've picked her" Shikamaru stopped from taking another step toward the door, "like before" Shikamaru didn't know if sasuke was aware of what he was saying or not, but he listened anyways. Then he watched those onyx eyes closed slowly and he listened to the last words of the uchiha before he fell to sleep "she fears the darkness"

Uchiha sasuke was walking beside hyuga hinata, he was walking her home again. It was first because of naruto, his supposed to be best friend had begged him to take care of her since he left for a mission that would take a long time, but now it became a habit. He would walk her home every time they finished their missions, after dinners with friends he would approach her and walk by her side to her home. Sasuke didn't look at her but one day he felt her warmth when she stood closer to his empty side, she was clutching his jacket tightly and he wondered why didn't she stood to his right if she wanted to hold his arm. "I'm sorry sasuke " she was hiding her face behind his shoulder "but.." she found the courage to look up to him and smile "i hate dark places" then her eyes fell to the ground again, sasuke looked in front of them. They were about to enter a dark hallway without a light. "Are you afraid of the dark?" He watched her as she covered her face with her bangs," aren't you a Shinobi? A hyuga even?" It was the first thing he said to her that evening beside "let's go". Her head sink deeper in his shoulder and he tensed he could feel her hand on his back clutching and releasing his clothes. And he couldn't help the uneasiness he felt so he did what he thought was better he held her hand in his and dragged her with him. That way would be better she wouldn't have to interfere his personal space , and that what he decided to do every time they walked that way. He was fine with it and he found it more comfortable for both of them until one day she decided to take a new level when she held his hand between both of hers before she walked through the gate. And he froze "sasuke-kun" he stared at her when she was closing her eyes to gather the courage to speak "thank you for being nice to me" then she opened those pearls eyes. And held his hand closer to her lips ,so close that he could feel the smile she drew on her lips before letting his arm fell to his side and turned to her home. Leaving the great sasuke uchiha trying to control the beating inside him.

Shikamaru was on his way to his home too before he spotted the females friends walking in front of him, he watched the blonde one waving her goodbye to the pink haired one then his dark brown eyes meet her bright,blue eyes and she grinned ,he walked closer and finally he noticed her red cheeks. She was drunk too. He sighed and walked to her, he let her threw her arm over his shoulders And leaded him to her place. All the way she had been given him that look and he ignored it because he knew what was coming "you met her didn't you?" He would've ignored her if she didn't leaned her head to watch his face. Then she laughed throwing her head back. "Don't be ashamed Shikamaru it's something good" he wondered if it was, because no one knew what it was, Even his blonde,idiot teammate didn't or she thought she knew but he kept it to himself. Thankfully before she spoke anything else they arrived at her house "we are here" she looked confused at first but then recognized her house "don't think you ran i will ask you tomorrow " he watched her stumbled on her steps to the door, after he made sure she was inside her house safe and sound, even though he didn't need to she was a Shinobi after all. He was already thinking of the answer he should give her the day after because he didn't want any one to know and he wouldn't make it obvious because he wasn't uchiha sasuke.

Sasuke was already awake but he hadn't gotten up from his bed when he heard the knock on his door.
He waited a little maybe the visitor would lost hope and leave, but there was no use whoever behind the door hadn't given up and banged harder on his door, and that made the frown on the last uchiha's face deepened ,So he walked and opened it revealing the only female who had been visiting him a lot lately . She was frowning before the door opened and before she smiled to him "good afternoon sasuke-kun" then she walked past him to his apartment without waiting for his offer but he didn't mind anyway. He was ready to close the door when she told him to not." We are going out" he looked to her confused "we?" She nodded her head "yes me ,you and Naruto-kun maybe sakura-chan would join us" he couldn't help the frown at the last female's name. Their last meeting didn't go well, it was terribly awkward and uncomfortable so why would they bother meeting if none of them would want to see the other? He couldn't understand but he couldn't decline either. Because this person here, the same person who kept messing him with a smile and interfered in his life. Was the one who asked it was more like an order but he didn't mind." Wear something heavy it might rain" he headed to his room and did what she told him.

After all Naruto didn't came only sakura joined them. They did a lot of things shopping, chatting they even went to the yamanaka's flowers shop. But sasuke was settled for watching them ,watching her.
They were sitting at the park which had nothing for kids only there were so many tables which located near one of the restaurant, hinata offered to order and bringing their food. And now he was sitting with her again alone. He could see that she settled her eyes on him and he made it clear that he didn't want to talk to her. The feelings were mutual, Sakura preferred to visit someone else she was fine with hinata she loves her but the problem was this person in front of her but she kept reminding herself that it was only for kakashi. "So" he looked up at her and recognized the fake smile she had on her face "you went with Naruto and kakashi last night?" He raised his brow at kakashi there was no sensei, Sakura didn't wait for an answer as she continued "I'm glad Naruto had convinced you" who said he asked? He didn't even brought that subject to him and sasuke didn't kept that to himself "he didn't" that huge, fake smile was replaced by confusion, sasuke raised his gaze to the same direction hinata went to. "She did" sakura turned to look behind her though she knew who he meant and she knew that she wouldn't see hinata behind her but she turned. Something inside her jumped and she couldn't explain it, she wasn't jealous there was nothing to be jealous at, even if there was ,she wasn't the same Sakura who was chasing after him like a lost puppy,like she couldn't live her life if he wasn't in it, She had changed. Sasuke rested his back "I wouldn't go if the hokage himself came begging" and he smirked at her mad face that fake smile disappeared along with the confusion. He watched her features turned slowly. "Why?" He has no reason "don't you count them as friends or at least your old team?" Now her anger was showing clear on her face, he didn't say anything he kept watching her "Naruto chased after you for years and you don't count him as your friend? Why wouldn't you go if kakashi came begging isn't he your sensei? I mean he could leave the villages deal to kill you but NO! He chose to bring his student back they cared for you when no one did only us even now only us care" why was she so mad? Was the question inside his head and again sasuke didn't keep that for himself "why are you so mad?" It wasn't because he was sorry in fact he was amused. "Because we lost a lot of years chasing after you when you don't deserve it I mean you tried to destroy konoha and still-" at that she slammed her fist on the table but he didn't flinch his smirk widened "WE CHASED AFTER YOU" he guessed that she had been holding it inside her for a long time that why she got mad easily, she was standing now if she stayed any longer god knows what would happen? She didn't want to destroy her village "at least be grateful for your sensei" she was about to turned to leave but he spoke first "isn't he your sensei too?" And she stopped he heard the gasp her green eyes were huge now. Not because of confusion but fear (what does he know?) is what she want to ask but she couldn't, sasuke was enjoying seeing her fear before she left he was about to laugh but she stopped ,(was going to throw the cup at him)he sighed but she didn't he looked up and his thoughts stopped too. Hinata was standing there he could see her hands shaking (she heard it all) that wasn't a guess it was a fact, she did. He could see how hard was it for her to control herself "I'm sorry hinata I've got something to do bye" and the pink haired medic left. Hinata didn't say goodbye or wave she just stood there carrying the food he was about to help her but she found her strength again to step forward to the table "I'm sorry I took so long" then she started preparing their food.

She was regretting her words already as she walked on her way somewhere she didn't know. She shouldn't have promised kakashi anything, she messed up so bad and she couldn't go back to fix it or change it. Sakura stood again in front of his office... again. That where her feet drove her, she couldn't find the courage to face him. Why was she even trying when there was no chance not even one, why did she came here again? She had broke another promise again and she knew that she would promise herself again this night before sleep, was it obvious? Was it so obvious that sasuke knew about, how many people knew now? She didn't know, she begged herself to turn and leave because she had no reason to come here what would she say , I broke the promise i had with you and the promise i had with my pity self? That would bring disappointment for him again, it wasn't the first time she disappointed him maybe the 100th but she couldn't stop herself from coming again here. Sakura let out a sob while she dragged her feet out of the building.

She was walking few steps behind him before he stopped and she pumped at him. She held her forehead and looked up at him "I'm sorry sasuke-kun—" he stared at her for a minutes then held his hand out "it will rain soon" she felt a light drops on her then looked up. "We have to hurry then"then she walked faster sasuke didn't need to keep up. "Where are we going?" " to your house" he glanced at her with a raised brow "what about you?" " can't I stay at your house for a minutes?" He looked forward "hn" and that was enough answer for her.
Sasuke opened the door wide for her to step first "thank you sasuke -kun" he stepped inside and closed the door watching her taking off her jacket "at least we finished dinner safely" then she giggled he didn't know why? There wasn't anything funny about it but he didn't ask he walked to his room to change leaving her sitting on the small couch

Naruto finally had some time to go home he didn't remember the last time he went there. He went outside the building and took a deep breath the air was different it was refreshing as if it was his first time going out. Naruto headed first to the yamanaka's shop "Hey ino!" The female who was reading a magazine looked up to the other blonde "heey Naruto heading home?" She already knew that because every time he go to his house he would buy flowers to hinata. He scratched his head sheepishly "yeah finally " she walked to the red and white roses she knows his order always "you should be home more than that hinata-chan missed you" " I know I'm already trying to make it up for her" she walked to him and gave him the flowers "here good luck " "thanks bye " and he ran out of the shop heading to his empty home

He was sitting on his bed when she came in holding a cup "here this would warm you" he remembered their first mission together it was the same line she used he sipped from it and putted it on the table beside his bed then he felt her hands on his knee "don't let them get to you" it was like a whisper but he heard she was facing the floor maybe she hesitated to say but she continued anyway " I heard what happened at the dinner and with Sakura-chan too" then she looked up meeting his eyes in the darkness "they might hate you, but I don't" He wasn't trying to not let their words get to him he was trying to not let her words get to him because if he did he will regret it. "Father was right we're grateful for the effort you've done" "what did you hear hyuga?" He could feel her hand clutching his knees tighter "I know what happened and I don't want it to effect you, I want you to focus on us" she bite her lips before speaking again "father likes you Naruto-kun too, Sakura-chan too even though what she said she still loves you" he bite harder now before speaking "i do too" his thoughts stopped, what was she saying? Was she confessing? Or was she crazy? Her nails dig harder on his knees and she whispered her last words getting her face closer to his. "Why can't you see us?" She made him weak, his self control was getting weak too "why can't you see me?" Those few words were enough to break the wall he had built to protect himself, they were enough to make him confess what he had been hiding for her for a long time. "Am i not your friend too?" It was crazy how words could effected him, how her words effected him. He had destroyed a wall he built for a years and she built another one taller and stronger by few words. She heard him laugh silently before he knelt closer to her face ,close enough to feel her light breath on his face. "Why can't you see me hinata?"
