In the poor lightened room stood two chairs-opposed to one another. There were two figures on the chairs, chained together and holding hands. She didn't need to see their faces to know who they were.

"Tom, what is going to happen with us?"
"I dont know, but it'll be ok. I won't let anyone harm you. I will make anything to get us out of here."

We compare mental pain to the objects that physically hurt. We say that a pain feels like daggers being inserted in one's heart. We wake up with a hangover and compare it to a hammer, smashing our skull. But what are we going to compare with such a pain as love? By the ones who caused it or by their dids? What was y/n going to call the pain inside of her, Thomas or betrayal?

However it could be called, it was unbearable. She wanted to turn and run away but could she do it when two innocent lives were in danger?

"You don't need to do anything" - she spoke, walking to the couple - "just don't move and let me set you free."

The voice. The voice Tom knew so well. It was the voice that used to sing to him beautiful songs in sleepless night, which seemed to be out of this world. The voice that was lighter than wind, which sounded like the ones belonging to the Serenes in dark waters, only much more magical and melodic.
He recognized it immediately. He turned around to see his once dead wife standing there, trying hard to undo the chains.

"Y/n?" The sound of his heart beating in his ears didn't let him hear himself. For a second he thought that he was dreaming or that it was some kind of illusion. But it all went away and his mind became blank when y/n stood before him.

"Can you both walk? Did they injure you?".

The chains were gone. They stood face to face now.
"Y/n, why?"

"Taylor, I believe. We need to go. Hurry up and follow me."

Tom was defeated by her ignorance. The person he mourned all these years, the one whose touch he yearned, his sweet dream and nightmare wasn't even looking at him.
Just as she was trying to walk away, ge grabbed her elbow.

"Answer me."
His voice was stern but full of emotions.
"If you'll touch me ever again I'll break your arm."

Tom was devastated, but never surprised. He knew the feisty girl he adored oh so much too well.

She spoke again.
"You two will do as I say and get out of here. There's a car waiting for you. They will lead you to a safe place."
"What about you?" Tom didn't want to let her go once more.
"It's none of your business. Take your wife and go away."
