I set the white board down on the floor.
"Okay." She says, clapping her hands.
"Would you like to tell me why you don't talk?" Ms. Katherine asked me.
I raise both my eye brows at her in a skeptical way.
"Guess not then." She mumbles.
I don't think I was supposed to hear that.
But I did.
I hear most things.
"Do you talk to anyone?" She asks.
But I know she knows the answer.
The answer is in my file.
I point to my file.
She sighs.
"Right, you talk to your twin brother Joseph Benson and your best friend Jessica Einstein." She says, acting as if she just remembered.
"Why did you stop taking?" She asks.
I knew that question was going to come.
Quite honestly, I thought she would ask the question sooner.
"Did you stop because your parents di-"
I cut her off by holding up one hand.
I know what happened.
I do not need to be reminded.
I do not like to say what happened.
And that is why I call the accident 'it'.
"Is that a yes?" She asks excitedly.
Yes.
But I don't tell her that.
I don't tell her anything.
She sighs, realizing that I wasn't going to speak.
"You can go now, Molly." She says.
I hop out of the chair before she even finished and zoomed out the door.
No way was I coming back here.
Not ever.
