I check my schedule to see what class I have next.
Lunch.
"Molly what do you have next?" Joseph says when he sees me in the hall.
I open my mouth to talk.
But then I close my mouth.
I can't talk.
Because of it.
Because everyone I care about is going to leave me.
Jessica did.
My parents did.
Now all I have left is Joseph.
But he'll be gone soon.
I'm sure of that.
"Molly?" Joseph asks I'm a concerned voice.
I hand him my schedule.
He scans my schedule.
"The rest of our classes are together. Let's go." He says, gesturing for me to follow him.
I make my way to the cafeteria, mentally preparing myself for the rest of the day.
