I wake up on the cold grass.

"God, I hope she's okay." I hear someone say.

Whoever it was is worried sick.

Then I recognized the voice as Joseph's.

I open my eyes, to find the bright sun starring me straight in the face.

"Molly!" Joseph exclaims, engulfing me in a hug.

"What happened?" I whisper into his ear.

Joseph pulls away, a shocked look on his face.

"You...you...you talked. You talked!" Joseph says.

I nod my head.

I did talk.

The fire was a wake up call.

Yes, the people I care about might pass.

But I might too.

I can't go my entire life without living.

Jessica wouldn't have wanted that.

My parents wouldn't have wanted that.

And now I don't want that.

"What happened?" I repeat in a whisper.

"One of the tables caught on fire, and the flame spread. The fire department is here putting out the fire right now, but school has been dismissed," Joseph says. "They said you fainted from shock."

I look around to see that no one else is here.

At least I thought no one was.

"Is she okay?" I hear some one say.

I whip around to see Asher.

"Yeah." Joseph says.

The look on his face is clear to me.

He was wondering if I was going to talk to Asher.

"I'm fine." I say.

The look on Joseph's face was priceless.

But the look on Asher's face made me laugh.

Something I haven't done since it happened.
