I was pacing in the hospital waiting room, barely holding myself together, waiting for the news about Joseph.

A doctor walks in.

"Is their a Kara Gibbons in here?" He asks.

"She's a patient here right now. I'm Joseph's twin sister Molly." I say.

Th doctor flips through some papers.

Probably to check and see if Joseph has a twin sister named Molly.

"Okay, well come on over so we can talk about Joseph's situation." The doctor says.

I nod my head and follow the doctor.

When we get to our destination, we sit down and he starts to talk.

"As you know, Joseph was brought right into an operation as soon as he got here. He has some broken bones, bruises and needed stitches behind his left ear." The doctor says.

I wait for him to say more.

"But there's more." The doctor says.

I knew it.

"Joseph has severe head trauma and is in a coma. We predicted his chances of waking up from a series of tests and other things. Unfortunately, he has a very small chance of waking up. We have him on life support right now, but we need to talk to his legal guardian to sort out the details."

"His legal guardian is a patient here."

"Yes, your told me. What room is she in?"

I tell the doctor where Aunt Kara is.

"Have you seen her yet?" He asks.

I shake my head.

I don't really want to visit her when she doesn't remember me being 15.

Or when she doesn't remember gaining custody of Joseph and me.

Or when she doesn't remember it.

Especially when she doesn't remember it.

"I think it would be a good idea for you to come with me. It might jog her memory." The doctor says.

I nod my head.

I may not want to see her, but if it might help her remember, I will.

The doctor and I get up, and head to Aunt Kara's room.

When we get there, I gulp down my nerves and slowly enter the room.
