"I got the job!" I exclaimed, hanging up the phone. I had interviewed for a few jobs over the past week and I just received the call that I got the one I was hoping for. Liam and I were sitting in my living room, just having finished eating take-out chinese food.
"That's amazing!" he said, pulling me into a hug and kissing my cheek. "Which one was it?"
"It's at that bar that Tris told me about. Remember, he called me told me they had an opening?"
"Oh yeah," Liam nodded, sounding annoyed. He didn't seem to like that I was friends with Tristan still because I had slept with him. Nothing was going to happen between Tristan and I, especially now that he was with Ivy. "So, when do you start?"
"Monday," I smiled. "Which means we can only stay in New Jersey until Sunday morning. You can still come right?"
"Of course, I wouldn't miss it."
"Good. To this, it's fine for you to wear that suit," I laughed, teasing him about when he showed up in one to go to dinner at my dad's.
"Hey, stop. That's not funny!" Liam said trying to act upset, but he was cracking a smile and trying not to laugh. "I was just trying to make a good impression," he said, finally letting out his laugh. It was a sound that I had come to love. There were a lot of things I loved about Liam. Like his warm brown eyes and his beautiful accent. Like his compassion and protectiveness. Like the way that he holds me when we're falling asleep and the way his kisses are like no other.
"I love you," I blurted out, saying aloud what I had been trying to convince myself wasn't true.
Liam stopped laughing and looked at me seriously. He straightened himself on the couch in order to see me better. One of his hands was resting on the back of the couch while the other was resting on my thigh. "Logan," he started slowly. "Are-are you sure?" He seemed hesitant to believe my words and I wasn't sure why this was. He had been waiting for so long for me to admit to this fact.
"What do you mean? Of course I'm sure. I mean I don't really have anything to base my feelings on, but don't people say that you just know?" I bit my lip, nervous for what Liam was going to say. When he didn't speak, I continued. "I've never been happier than when I'm with you. Even though I lost the job that I thought was my life, I'm happy. And that's because of you. You're all I need, Liam."
Liam cupped my face with the hand that had previously on my leg. "I love you too, Logan. I know I've said it before but I'm going to say it so many more times. I've been so nervous to say it again because I didn't want to rush things."
"Thank you for taking my feelings into consideration. It means a lot that you would do that for me and I'm sorry it's taken me this long to finally realize that love isn't pointless. You just have to find the right person. I'm not saying that I ever want to get married because the future is so uncertain, but love definitely isn't pointless."
Liam leaned forward and kissed me with all the passion that he could muster before we spent the rest of the day lounging around and packing. LIam was more a nuissance than a help, but I finally had all of my things packed for our road trip to New Jersey for my mom's wedding.

"Liam stop! I need to finish getting ready," I whined as he tried to pull me back into bed. We were staying at a hotel because I didn't feel like staying at my mom's and her interrogating me about Liam. I had never brought a boy home before and I wasn't sure how she would react.
"But I want to cuddle for a bit longer. Plus I think you beautiful like that," he said and I let him pull me to his chest. I was wearing a towel tied around my chest and my hair was a damp, tangled mess. Liam peppered kisses on my cheeks and down my neck. "You smell so good, babe."
"It's called a shower. Maybe you should try it," I joked.
"Are you telling me I smell?" he asked, feigning offense. I shrugged and took the chance to get up, because his arms weren't wrapped around me any longer. "Hey! You tricked me," he pouted.
"You snooze you lose," I giggled and went up to the bathroom mirror to blowdry my hair. After I finsihed, I styled it into an updo with a braid around the crown of my head. "Come on, Liam! You need to get up or we're going to be late." He was always doing this, making us late for things.
"But I like watching you get ready," he whined as he stood up. He stomped into the bathroom while I just shook my head and laughed. I pulled my dress out of the hanging bag I brought it in and I changed, finishing just as Liam walked out of the bathroom. "Aw, come on! You couldn't have waited for me? I missed the good part," he groaned, coming up to me with a towel hanging dangerously low on his hips.
"Stop, you're going to mess up my outfit or my hair or something," I pushed him away. "Just get into your suit while I do my make-up, ok?" I walked over to the mirror and pulled out mascara and eyeliner out of my travel bag. When I turned back around, Liam was fully dressed in his suit. "You're so handsome when you dress up," I complimented him.
"And you're sexy when you dress up," he said, bringing me close to him so that there was no space between us.
"And you're very horny," I told him, placing a lingering kiss on his lips. "But we need to go to the church or we're going to be late."
Liam groaned, throwing his head back. "We'll get back to this later then," he placed one last kiss on my lips before going to put his shoes on.
