The Daisy Garden

Part 14 - The War Pt I

Barny strode into the Willow Garden, it looked fine on the surface but he knew that as he strode in deeper it would get nasty, he ignored anyone who talked to him as he knew they were Parallels. "Hello?" Barny was armed with a super soaker filled with energy juice. He was wearing his Dad's toolbelt and had a can in each pocket, one of each drink. No Fear, Monster Energy, Red Bull, and Relentless. He had the least powerful in his gun Mountain Dew, because he didn't want to waste his more powerful drinks. He couldn't have filled it with wter as there wasn't a frequent supply but energy drinks were a good, almost better.

Suddenly Barny saw a shadow zip across the floor, someone was behind the tree, Barny went slowly and cautiously. He stood with his back to the tree breathing heavily, just loud enough for whoever was behind him to know he was there. He felt a hand grab his and pull him round. It was a girl who looked distinctly familiar she had long dirty blonde hair and her face was cut and bruised. She smiled at Barny and said "don't be scared" her top was practically shredded, but Barny could make out the words on her t-shirt 'Texas BBQ' that's what Daisy's favourite t-shirt said, could it be? "Daisy?" She nodded, what had happened to her? "We don't have much time..." She had her hand behind her back, she brought it out and it had a chain attatched and holding the other end, Rex. "Aha, you found her..." Barny nodded

"Let her go... Now!" Rex laughed evily "I'm not leaving till you let her go!!" Barny yelled "and where are all my other friends!?" Daisy looked shocked "other friends? Who... who's here??" Barny breathed in and out and pointed his water gun at Rex's chest "I'm not entirely sure... But he's holding a lot of people from the Willow garden hostage, I know that for a fact...." Daisy looked startled,

"Rex... tell him the rules." Daisy looked at Rex and tugged on her chain. "Okey dokey..... Your friend is not dead."

"I can see that, you're just torturing her till she is!"

"Don't be so harsh on me.... Anyway, you have one day to spend with Daisy... Catch up a little, but after that you must bide by the rules and Daisy must leave your side..." Barny scowled at Rex.

"Barny take the deal, we can help fight these guys off. And day will make the difference." Barny nodded "Okay, now give her over." "Alrighty. It's 7:00 PM now, you have 24 hours, you know what that means, tomorrow night at 7:00 have her back at this spot. If you don't there will be consequences." Barny and Daisy ran further into the depths of the forest... "Daisy! I can't believe your back! How come?" Daisy shrugged

"No idea, it was like I was knocked out back at the castle and I woke up here. Strange huh?"

"Really strange." Barny clutched his water pistol "so what've you got there?" Barny looked at his weapon belt "energy juice... I assumed it would startle some of the enemies... But now I've realised they're a lot stronger than this."

"No kidding, if you hadn't showed up right now, I would have been killed!"
