I kept on twisting on my bed that night after knowing what happened. 

Jang-hoon and Eun-ji told me why they hated Sang-min a lot and what exactly happened to Chae-won, despite of Hae-young’s pleas not to let me know. I also knew why Chae-won was the only word that could make him ditch his cold face… 

Yoo Chae-won was their close friend. The four of them had known each other since junior high. Jang-hoon said Chae-won was a really nice girl… Bubbly and fun… Wherever the three of them were, Chae-won would always be there too, until… they start senior year…

Chae-won met Sang-min for the first time and fell in love with him. She had heard a lot of fighting between Hae-young and him since junior high, but had never really met him before. Since dating Sang-min, she drifted apart from them and became introvert… Eun-ji said she would spend time with Sang-min and didn’t care for her friends anymore. Their friendship grew worse just within a year. When Sang-min ditched her, she was in the verge of suicides… Eun-ji said Chae-won had been admitted to several hospitals after attempted suicides but one day… she took her life for good… She left a letter, apologizing for her deeds and begged not to blame Sang-min for anything…

Oh Hae-young loved Yoo Chae-won since he met her. He told Jang-hoon and Eun-ji, but he didn’t let Chae-won know about his feelings because she was already dating Sang-min… He would always stand by her no matter what. She was his first love… Eun-ji said Hae-young weren’t as cold as he was now… Chae-won’s death had devastated him too much… It had already been 2 years since her death…

That… was the confession… Hae-young most reluctant to tell… He had left when Eun-ji started telling me…

Tears started forming in my eyes. I didn’t know why but somehow… I just knew…
