Alec still couldn't believe what just had happened. First he found out that his parents wanted him to get married and then he was kissing Myrcella. If only his mother knew he had feelings for a half warlock. As he was about to open the door out of the penthouse, he was stopped by the high warlock.

"And where do you think you're going?" Magnus asked Alec, raising an eyebrow. He knew the Shadowhunter was Myrcella's problem but he couldn't stand by and idly watch as he broke her heart.

"Out?" Alec replied in confusion, his heart was still erratically beating and he needed to cool down.

"Come Alexander. We have much to discuss." Magnus announced and led the Shadowhunter towards his library.

Meanwhile, Myrcella put on a shirt and decided to leave her room as she thought Alec had left. She was walking around the penthouse in search of Magnus when she heard Luke's voice coming from one of the rooms. Then she heard her sister as well. She was about to go in but stopped herself when she heard Luke talking about their parents so she stayed hidden behind the ajar door and eavesdropped.

"He was obsessed with winning Jocelyn's heart back. For love, he was willing to do anything, even compromise his own principles. He became fixated on becoming a better soldier." Myrcella took in a sharp breath. She knew where this story was going as she had heard it from Magnus before. "That led him to do the unthinkable; experiment with Downworlder blood." Luke added and Myrcella couldn't stay hidden anymore.

"And here I am." Myrcella announced walking in, surprising Clary but Luke knew she was outside.

"Once he crossed that line, we never got him back again." Luke added with a sad look and Clary gave her sister an apologetic smile.

"Yeah, then he turned into the psychopath he is today and experimented on an unborn baby then voila." Myrcella added with venom laced in her voice but smiled in the end and showed Luke her warlock eyes.

"You are truly astonishing Myrcella. I've heard so much about you from Jocelyn." Luke replied with a smile. Myrcella smiled and turned around to leave only to be stopped by Luke's words. "You know not a day went by that she didn't think of you Myrcella. Your mother missed you deeply." Luke's words stung her too much for her liking.

"I know." She replied without looking back and continued walking. She knew her mother gave her up for her protection but she kept Clary and even though she didn't hold anything against her sister she sometimes wished her mother kept her as well.

In the library, Magnus was making Alec nervous. The Shadowhunter knew Magnus cared a lot about Myrcella and he guessed they had something going on between them but the way the warlock was looking at him was as if he knew he just had a small make out session with the aforementioned girl.

"So what are your intentions with Myrcella, Alexander?" Magnus asked making him choke in surprise. When the Shadowhunter didn't reply, Magnus continued. "You need to understand that Myrcella means a lot to me and I will never see her get hurt." He sternly added. Alec was about to open his mouth to say something but the door of the library opened to reveal none other than the girl they both cared about.
