Myrcella was running alongside a werewolf on Atlantic Ave when he stopped and looked around as if he had heard something. Myrcella held her seraph blade high and looked around but she didn't hear anything. She quickly activated the runes necessary and saw Hodge with Jace.
"Let the others know." Myrcella said as she rushed towards them, leaving the werewolf behind. She was only three streets away but she ran with all her might, afraid something might happen to Jace.
"Let's be real for a moment. You can't win." Hodge chuckled as if he was stating the obvious. "I taught you everything you know." He raised his voice and pulled out his weapons.
"Not everything, Hodge." Jace shot back doing the same himself. Myrcella was about to step towards them but Jace shook his head. "Stay out of this Myrcella. This is my fight." He warned her delivered the first blow.
Myrcella bit the inside of her cheek standing by their side as she watched them fight. She would intercept if it went downhill. She saw Hodge gain the upper hand and cursed under her breath. She quickly jumped in, elbowing Hodge squarely in the face with a sickening crunch indicating she had broken his nose. Hodge collapsed back and she handed out a hand to get Jace up. She watched him pull out his seraph blade and make a swift swipe. However, she almost vomited when Jace cut off Hodge's hand clean from his wrist with a scream. Jace raised his seraph blade again to land the final blow to be tackled to the ground by Alec. She heard Hodge's whimpers from behind as she kept her eyes on her supposed brother and Alec.
"He sided with Valentine, Alec. The Clave let him go once before and look where that got us."
"What are you gonna do? You're gonna kill every ex-Circle member, even our parents?" Alec asked baffled as he kept his hold on Jace, not letting go until he calmed down.
"Robert and Maryse aren't my parents." Jace said between gritted teeth and a look of hurt flashed across the raven haired Shadowhunter's face for a second.
"You said it yourself. They raised you. They are your parents! Just calm down." He replied patting him on the chest. "You okay?" He faced Myrcella and she gave a weak smile in return. Myrcella didn't turn around as she heard Hodge screaming out in pain so she was able to see Jace get up and take Hodge's cut off hand.
"What are you doing?" She whispered incredulously at the blond Shadowhunter.
"Taking the ring." He replied gruffly and took it off. He put out the hand to Myrcella but she took a step back. "I'm not touching that thing!" She exclaimed as she averted her eyes.
"Are you seriously squeamish at the sight of blood?" Jace asked annoyed as he threw the hand to the ground.
"No but I don't want to touch someone's ex body part." She replied shaking her head in disgust. She watched as Jace put the ring on and have a heated conversation with Valentine even though she couldn't see him. After couple of minutes, he yanked the ring off in anger and turned to face her with a determined look in his eyes. "You know what we have to do right?" Myrcella ran a hand through her ponytail with a sigh.
