“I am a pilot; I traveled so many countries around the world. I have seen so many beautiful places which I wanted my family to see. My mother is a housewife and my father who is a retired pilot. He is my idol that’s why I became a pilot too.” I smiled on this thought.
“I have a sister she’s just 6 years old. She’s such a miracle baby for us. We are so close to each other.” I saw her listening intently with a gloomy expression, and then I continued.
“Our family is a very happy family. We enjoy bonding every weekend, we go to church every Sunday to thank God for his blessings and goodness. In my 2 years of service as a pilot, my mother’s dream is to ride on a plane on which I am the one who will control. She wanted me to be the pilot of the plane she will ride to a beautiful place.” Now my heart feels the sudden pang as I am telling this to Jelsha but I continued.
“July 15th is my parents’ anniversary. I promised to myself, that on that day I will bring them to a place where they can relax and enjoy their anniversary and as a grant to my mother’s wish I’ll be the one who will personally pilot the plane. That day came, the 15th day of July. My father, sister and I surprised my mother by informing her that she and my father will have a vacation abroad and I’ll be their pilot. We were so excited, for the very first time, my parents will ride in a plane and I’ll be their pilot.”
“My sister was left in the house because she had to attend her class that day. So my parents and I went to the airport to prepare for the flight on their special day. All are ready. The plane is ready to take off. Before I went to the pilot seat I walked to my parents and said.
“Happy anniversary Mom and Dad, I hope you’ll enjoy your first ride with me as your pilot.”
“Ever since, you havenever disappointed me. I love you.” My mother said then she kissed me.
“I am very proud of you. I am sure we’ll be happy to the place of our vacation. Go on now, you’re so in need to be in front to be our pilot son.” my dad said as he hugged me tight.
“Yes, enjoy mom and dad.” I answered.
I saw their eyes full of love and happiness. I go back to the front and sit. We are now in the air. The sky was clear blue and I feel happy of what is happening now. That I had granted my mother’s wish.
Then suddenly we heard a loud striking sound. The staff shouted, “The plane is on fire! The engine stopped.” I was suddenly shocked of what I heard. I was so nervous. All I wanted is to do something that will make us all safe specially that two of my passengers are my beloved parents. I tried so hard to control the plane but we crashed.” I stopped for a while because I know my tears were about to fall. I tried my best to stop it.
